Really wish we would have hung onto Hunt.
Lawson looks like his skills would immediately translate to real NBA games. Tall slasher with a quick release and even his misses look like they're still going in. Should be an easy choice for 2 way as long as he doesn't randomly fall off a cliff.

I have said repeatedly that I believe counting on Hardy to play a rotation role this season, even a fringe one, would be a mistake. But, that’s about where the team is, not the player. If the roster construction doesn’t take a turn for the better soon, they might have no choice.

I have to say, I think the stronger elements of his game are fairly NBA ready. If they try to turn him into a point guard he is going to look like a baby deer out there, maybe for a few seasons. But, if they can craft a role for him that doesn’t immediately expect him to do things he’s not comfortable doing, I actually think he can look really good pretty much right away. It is going to be interesting to see how they approach this.

He is way more NBA ready then Green, Terry or Bey were, that’s for sure.
When do we post the "Why can't Jaden Hardy be Bradley Beal 2.0 thread"?

After opening night when Hardy explodes for 20 points off the bench against the Jazz.

Too slow.

I so wish we could have gotten Grimes for Brunson. Cry
OJ Mayo.  That's the comparison I see so far as the best case scenario for Hardy.

Mayo was labeled as the next Lebron out of high school but his lack of explosiveness limited him in the nba and he was basically just another guy in the end.

Even in the summer and G league Hardy seems to struggle creating separation.

HECK YES!

To get a rotation NBA player in the 2nd round would be awesome

"Best case"

I like what I hear so far about Hardy being a gym rat and all but "best case" seems to be over looked.  I agree, if he translates to OJ Mayo we should be happy with the outcome but that should also curb our expectations.

A 2nd round hitting should also remind us what was lost with Brunson.
Floor: Bradley Beal
Ceiling:  Mecha Michael Jordan

Sorry, but this is nonsense. Hardy looks better than Brunson did in his first summer league game.

I'll counter your nonsense claim by saying it's nonsense to compare Hardy to Brunson based on a summer league game.
