I'm glad the Mavs took a chance on him. I figure he should be about 9" tall by the time the season rolls around.
There are not much unknowns when it comes to scouting. Bingham seems like he has an inside and outside game. Yet he fell. So did DFS though. Hopefully the Mavs hit on a couple of these guys.
Does the G-Legaue still have a draft? How does this all work? Is there a cap?

It seems like it would be very benefitial to the NBA teams and players, if this worked more like European football. No salary cap. No contract restrictions.

Just sign the players you want for the money and years you want.

If they receive a (better) contract offer from Europe, China or the NBA, you have the right to first refusal to upgrade the player to the full NBA roster. For the players career chances this would seem a much better environment, too. You get paid for 2-4 years. The NBA teams can develop and invest in you for an extended period of time. They don´t risk losing you for nothing, but the player also has an out, if a better opportunity presents itself.

I agree. I watched some highlights on him. He kinda reminds me of John Henson some. The Mavs need some size, athleticism. I’m curious what other bigs they are targeting. I would be okay with Robinson, Bamba, Harteinstein. I like Wood as the stretch big, but I hope they don’t put him as the starting center everyday. He plays defense & isn’t soft unlike Powell. I’m just crossing my fingers hoping that the Powell days are over with! I could be wrong though. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s back.

What can the Mavs do?  Bench him or play him they are stuck with that contract unless they find some takers.

I believe it may have been a HS growth sport.  That is what I am led to believe.

He just topped 7 feet last October:

You are right about the majority in high school (from the MSU website): "Grew eight inches over the last two years of high school."

But then grew 2+ inches in college.

Sounds like Anthony Davis late development.  Does he have guard skills/footwork still?  I haven't paid much attention to him in college.

Here’s hoping Bingham becomes the next Myles Turner!
Bold prediction: if the Mavs free up another roster spot in a trade, Bingham gets a full roster spot.
Honestly outside of Bingham, none of those names have me intrigued. Although in my defense, I've only done a cursory glance at each one.

I do think the Mavs SL team should be pretty electric. Hardy+Bingham is enough firepower to make these games entertaining. I also think the Mavs will assign Josh and maybe even Franky smokes.

Franky/Josh/Hardy/---/Bingham is a pretty spicy lineup.

I think Moses Wright will be on the summer league team.   I don't think Eugene will be on it.

No word on Josh Green.  You very rarely see third year former first round picks play summer league, but a case can be made it would be good for him.

I wonder if we see Feron Hunt or Carlik on the team as well?

It will also be interesting where former Mavs second round pick Tyrell Terry plays.  It won't be for Dallas.  He signed as a two way with Memphis but hurt again and played very little.   He has played very little over the past two years.  I am rooting for the kid.  It appears Memphis has two-way guys already.   I hope he is doing ok.

Interesting.  Can’t say I have heard of him.   Those are pretty good g league stats though.  24 years old.
