I almost posted the same thing. He moves like DSJ. He's like if DSJ had game.

Yeah, he's what this generation calls a "hooper."

Even before I watched the film you gave us, my eyebrows were raised by all of the NBA types who were singing his praises and pulling for him. You can tell that he knows that world - the closed pickup games, etc. He's accepted by them. I actually think that's worth quite a lot.
I don't know what this is worth...maybe nothing. But, this is the hardest played game of Mavs Summer League I've ever seen, I think. These dudes are flat out sprinting out there.
Harding is the guy the European "vultures" will circle. Probably too small for the NBA, but a 10 year career overseas as a PG.
Terrible officiating, where is Luka to complain when you need him.
That off the screen 3 from Lawson was fantastic

Well RC isn't the coach anymore so I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing either. DSJ might not have busted had Kidd been coach

I love that Dalen Terry is playing in the 4th and Hardy is sitting on the bench already because he's already made his point
I want to see what Hardy does down the stretch of this game if he gets put back in.
Indiana has a more veteran SL team. - Commentary.

Some things just make you smile. Big Grin

There are some similarities, but Hardy already seems to move in more goal-oriented ways, imho. I think he's much more polished than DSJ was. Than DSJ IS, maybe.

DSJ had all the opportunities in the world after he left Dallas. He just didn´t have it.
Lethal behind the back and fade away against a bigger player. LETHAL.

Dude has so much in his bag.

One thing that I have hope will set him apart from DSJ is his shooting ability, though he hasn't really shown it in this game.

Agreed. But even more than that, DSJ (to me) always seemed like he had made a living off of straight line drives (faster than his competition) and his vertical (could play above his competition). In the NBA, that's not enough unless it's SUCH an advantage that you're young Russel Westbrook.

That last baseline drive from Hardy, for example, during which he got cut off and then had the footwork and handles to go behind his back and create space on a pull up? That he drained? I don't think DSJ could pull that off right now, let alone when he was a rookie.
I think the only similarities between DSJ and Hardy is the high level of athleticism. Hardy clearly doesn’t have the blinders on that DSJ did when operating this offense and it’s a joy to watch right now. We’re obviously a long way away from any of this meaning anything but this has been rather impressive.
