That was probably more of a "You said that the last two times, yet here we are again.  I don't care what it costs...fix your mess NOW, get me a real contender or you are fired." talk than a "I trust you so much that I bestow upon you the full power and ability to get it done" talk.

Most Rockettes fans would call BS on that...
Everything leaked by a team or agent right now is for the sole purpose of messaging
Marcus Morris is not a guy I like but he would make the Mavs better, much better.

P.S. Knicks lol

My question with Morris is if you traded for him would you be able to resign him over the cap without using the MLE? I am guessing you would be able to as long as it doesn't exceed a certain dollar amount over their current salary. The advantage to me having Morris on your roster is that you could more easily resign him if you can offer him a deal that's more than the MLE. Last year the Knicks were able to pry him away with a 1 yr 15 mil deal that he saw as more lucrative than 2 yr, 20 mil w/Spurs. If Mavs had him on the roster I would guess they could give him another 1 yr deal that might keep him around next year, provided everyone is happy with his fit on the team.

under this conditions, I have difficulties seeing the benefits for Minny. They lose Roco and Wiggins while they get Russell (who is basically smaller version of Wiggins).

I guess Houston is ok with no picks going out and especially if Capella is injured.

I guess Atlanta is also ok. They get their long term center solution at reasonable salary. With their cap space they can add solid players. 2 first rounders are steep price, but let's see if it will really cost that much.

GSW is ok, if they get like 2 decent first round picks. They can experiment with Wiggins a little or flip him for a star with all those picks. Might be Towns will demand trade by then Smile
Man, I hope we keep Adams he is an original!  He goes by Woj this time of year just like us lol

Lakers want to fleece the Knicks like the Mavs.

Knicks have two interesting players: Morris and Robinson. The rest are in the nothing special category at best.

Speaking of Morris, which of the contenders can realistically give up 10 million of salary to get him:
- Bos if they combine three players, probably not gonna happen
- Denver (Plumlee or Grant+something)
- Clippers (Harkless or Zubac+Green)
- Miami (have the contract but don't have the assets, so I say No)
- Milwaukee (Ilyasova+R. Lopez)
- Toronto (Ibaka - not likely)

All can offer a first rounder. Denver, Clippers, Milwaukee can include some young prospects. I would guess LAC are biggest threat if they decide to go this way. Harkless, Robinson, 1st rounder against Lee, Jackson, GSW2nd. LAC win Sad
So long, RoCo.
Is the lesson to never invest serious money into the mold of center that offers little more than dunks, blocks and rebounds (DAJ, Capella, Drummond etc.)? Rockets are going to get smashed by any team with size (Lakers). Lakers have two of those guys but are making under 7m combined.

Going from Capela to Covington is a downgrade just like going from Paul to Westbrook
Weird moves, Houston
Can the Mavs grab Juancho for one of their own 2nds?

Have to keep Luka happy Smile
What first round pick did Houston have to offer? Not sure I love the trade from Denver's vantage point.

Glad the RoCo saga is finally over. All hail our pennies on the dollar version of him, DFS (not that RoCo is on a bad contract).

Am I going 0-3 on crazy predictions by the TDL?

-Ingram is not getting trade (granted I said this was my insane prediction).
-RoCo did not go to the Clippers.
-Mavs make two trades in addition to WCS.

I don't get Min on this one. GSW are willing to take on Wiggins, they are willing to give them Russell, but Min will not part with an unprotected pick? Idiotic. Having to take on Wiggins alone should net that unprotected 1st.
