I said it earlier but gonna say it again: I’m getting myself a DFS jersey. This man continues to evolve into a fantastic player, and I’m hoping he’s a Mav for many more years to come.

Luka should feel insulted when they put PatBev on him. Luka also played Mav killer Zubac completely off the floor lol. He is the gladiator - are you not entertained?!

Playoffs must feel like vacation to players. After unhumanly tight schedule of regular season playing 4 games a week with rarely more than a days rest, they first got a week off before game 1 and now another 2 days before game 2.

And Richard Jefferson, who played with Rondo on that team and VOTED to give Rondo zero playoff money, raved about Rondo all through the game. Called the stop in Dallas a "learning experience" for Rondo

And F--k Rondo!

I thought you could tell he was really holding back to remain professional when asked about his direct experience playing with Rondo.

But it wasn't professional about the way he raved about Rondo so why hold back

I guess Jefferson fell in the trap that announcers can only say good things about players

I mean it’s annoying, but it’s a national broadcast and these guys are in the business of promoting the players to try and pump up excitement and keep people tuning in, so I get it. Any criticism generally on a national broadcast is pretty benign, it’s just the nature of the business.

I actually thought that whole interaction was really funny because the other guy (Dave Pasch?) was glowing about Rondo and seemed to assume that RJ would have more praise to heap on, and didn’t seem to pick up that RJ was holding back criticism so kept prodding to try and get a good personal story about how amazing playoff Rondo was ultimately leading RJ to say whatever about how he had maturing to do.

Would be great to get RJ, or any of those Mavs, on a podcast where they may be more prone to open up with true thoughts.
Beware the Clips going small. Playoff Rondo in the starting lineup is far superior to anything PatBev does. Batum causes problems on both ends. Clips run fast on offense, get lots of FT attempts and jumpers, long rebounds. KP has to stay at home on Batum and can't guard the rim (to the extent he does). On offense Mavs still don't know how to take advantage of smaller lineups. KP instantly wants to post-up. I saw some crazy shots against these small lineups.

Zubac can still be brought off the bench to wreak some havoc when Luka isn't on the court. Mavs have struggled to beat small lineups, especially with KP out there as the long big on either team. Mavs will get some rebounding I guess but with KP having to guard the perimeter he can't help rebound so you end up giving up defensive boards. On the other end Mavs were getting more offensive boards thanks to spacing plus KP being out there.

If I am the Clips this is the way. I don't think they can beat the Mavs with Zubac out there, as good as he is. KP is fine on him and Mavs will attack him every time. Beware these Clips adjustments. They are going to further underscore Mavs and KP in particular who is unable to punish smaller players.

I hope it’s wild in there

I hope the AAC is so loud it makes the Clips deaf.
