WCS is the answer, but Rick hates him.

Or you go small with JRich and Kleber. Gotta slow down PG3, i still think JRich is the answer.
We are all mad at the moment but a bit overreacting as well. We are still at a great point to win the series.

In game 3, they went super small in the absence of Ibaka and it worked for them, mostly thanks to Porzingis’ atrocious game. But it also took them to play the best game to beat the Mavs. Their star duo were almost perfect and they got enourmous contribution from their role players, which we didn’t at all. These things happen. It was a crucial one, but just one game of the series.

Clippers are the better overall team, we all know that but still it took them a lot to be able to win the game. Maybe the Mavs needed a wake-up call and now they have it to rise to the occasion.

I was expecting this loss, to be honest. Not because of either team’s play but because of the atmosphere. It is not easy to play in front of such a crowd after so much time. Even though they were our fans, such an atmosphere puts some pressure on the players and the pressure definitely showed it self when we couldn’t respond to their comeback in the second half of the first quarter.

Now we have a better chance against them on Sunday. I don’t think we can play worse than last night, and neither can the Clippers play better. Rick will find a way to defend the small ball. The playoffs are played as series for this kind of adjustments, right?

We all knew it wouldn’t be easy to win the series and even on this board, many die hard fans picked the opponent because they are really good and showed us that they indeed are.

Now the Mavs have to demonstrate they are better than what many, even their fans, saw them to be and they will. On Sunday night we will be leading 3-1.
How do you guys feel about moving Maxi to the bench and starting Richardson?

You could slide DoeDoe to KL and Richardson can defend Paul George

If Kleber's achilles doesn't improve, you might get your wish. However, something tells me we're about to get a healthy dose of Dwight Powell.

JRich is the key to stop PG for me.

He is way too good in this series. Doubt its possible to slow down KL, but PG has to be limited.

If they just go small, you might have to bench KP for Jrich. Or go with WCS.
On the brightside, Kawhi and PG played close to a perfect game as one can reasonably expect in the playoffs. Combined for 65 points on 24/35 shooting.

Despite that the Mavs were still right there till the end. Even with terrible performances from KP/DFS/THJ.

I hope this was a wake up call to the team and they're ready to go for game 4.

This is the obvious counter move. Clippers have no choice but to go small. We must match them. JRich for KP so we have 2 plus defenders for KL and PG.

Luka
THJ
JRich
DFS
Maxi

D rating over 120 in wins this series. D rating over 130 last night. This lineup would put our 3 best defenders on the court with our 2 best offensive players

Ya I agree. I don't think KP sits or anything like that but I expect his minutes to go down, especially in crunch time.
I am disappointed like everyone else that the Mavs didn't get that 3-0 lead but everything considered, Mavs are in a good spot.  Luka is playing like the best player in the league.  The role guys are overall playing well.  Clippers played as well as they can and with desperation last night.

Need better defense and more production from KP.  I think it is fair to evaluate him in the playoffs but I doubt the Mavs will trade him this year.  Holding out hope for a KP breakout game this series.

Did I mention I despise the Clippers roster.  What a collection of mental defectives that happen to play basketball.  I will exclude the robot Kawhi from that group.

For me, Mann has become public enemy #1 this year. MMSr has been much less than he was last year for sure. Mann in the 3 games played during the regular season was a constant beotch.

Just this. The big dilemma for coach. Can current starting lineup lift their defensive performance or do you sacrifice offense for defense? In the last two games Kawhi and George were doing whatever they wanted with basically zero resistance. And they don't need a series of screens to get their favorable match-up. They just attack and DFS/Kleber have little chance. When Mavs tried to double team, things just got worse. Mavs could also return to a tactic from first two games - leave DFS and Kleber on an island against Clippers stars and limit the other guys.

I think this is it. Don't let the other guys get going.

Complete sub-normals...all of them.
Luka questionable with a cervical strain.

I fully expect him to play, but having a banged up Luka is no good.

Probably from shaking his head at Porzingis. Undecided

I will never understand this habit of making fun of our own players. Porzingis will probably still be here next season. We can criticize him and speculate about his lack of production but making fun of them? The next game he drops 30 pts and 14 reb the same people will celebrate him. I just don't get it.

By the way: My guess is that KP plays hurt.
