Who says no?
I'd say Dallas. I am sure KP should be worth more than Wiseman. It doesn't make sense to move him if he is not at the moment. Build up his trade value first. Drummond is just an expiring here since you got your center in Wiseman. You should look for another partner with GSW paying the price. I would rather have OPJ, for example. Or DeRozan.
Or we can just eat Wiggins contract and include Atlanta to the mix. For example sending Brunson, Green, Dal pick and GSW pick to Atlanta for Collins.

Wow. Not sure I agree with that. Not saying I would be super excited about that trade, necessarily, but I wonder if your gut is correct on that one.

Why you guys think Dallas needs Drummond and Wiseman? And Powell, and WCS and Bobi. Let's go get Lopez from Washington too, if we are collecting overpaid dinosaur centers.

As I said. If he is not, the KP situation would have to be really bad for Mavs to think this is a good trade.
KP should only be for a Beal Lavine level of player...
No prospects...no average starter...the Luka clock is ticking...

If the situation was decent then he would be playing tonight. There wouldn’t be rumors. I think it’s time to realize there’s much more going on behind the scenes. And the return will likely be underwhelming. If he is team cancer then we cannot afford to wait. Him just being hurt or working his way back would be one thing. We would stick by him through that. If we’re seriously considering moving him then it’s beyond repair

The same report you are refering too said actually exactly the opposite

We will see. It’s not like they will voluntarily throw the truth out there for public consumption

But it is you who chose that one part is true and other is not
That was my point.

I would be excited ab Wiseman. 2nd pick in the draft. The Warriors would be getting a guy that fits their winning window better and play style. I am not sure the Warriors would do that deal. The trouble with KP is teams might think he's damaged goods.
I did read a Warriors blog this morning that made me mad. It was basically saying they should only give up trash players + a protected Cleveland pick for KP.
All that to say it would not shock me at all if Mavs try to get off of KP's contract, get some kind of asset(s) back (likely a pick or two) and then play the cap space game again.
I am getting DeJa Vu with all this KP trade talk. This is literally the same thing that happened with Dennis Bust Jr. Out with a mysterious "back injury." Deny, deny, deny with "No, the trade talk is bull****!" However way this goes, glad to see the MBT are still paying attention to their on court product.
Any way Karl Anthony Towns is available? He always seems to be disgruntled with the organization (not fan of new coach), banged up with injury last 2 seasons, and may need a new change of scenery after all he's been through the past year. The Towns injury concerns are legit, but might be worth a swing like KP originally was. Mavs are desperate for star power.

He would be my absolute #1 target with a KP trade.
The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

Didn't know that, but yeah judging by media reaction it seems he is known

And totally unprotected next season. Even better for us tbh
Chet Holmgren will be in that draft, could be great for us or great trading asset that has no "maximum contract" or "injuries" tag on it.

Ideally Mavs should be eyeing this generation of superstars in the next couple of years, and loading assets fopr them.
KAT, Booker etc. Those who has good connection with Luka and would love to play with him and could force a trade to the Mavs between 2022 and 2023
Skill wise, I always thought KAT as the closest thing we have seen to Dirk, who is his idol btw (but will never get that comparison since he isn't from Europe)

What clock? He will sign a 4+1 year contract in 5 months, already made playoff past year and will soon make another one.
The important thing, is to have a true contender by 2023, and if KP isn't the answer and Lavine or Beal aren't on the table, then we should at least reload our assets for the next big thing available.
The money clock...right now we have more room for spending...

If you can't put a contender around him, he can always ask out. Don't assume or expect patience from Luka.
