Today it seems if a person gets embarrassed or knocked out of the Playoffs they look for a better situation with other stars or a team with a butt load of assets to trade for better players...
Dirk was one of the last of that dying breed who accept they could have done more and proceeded to work on making themselves a better overall player...

Watched Lakers lose to the Mavs twice last night. That doesn't get old. Lakers fans booing Pau and their team. Kobe played well both games but his team let him down. He was so explosive. LOVE 2011.

Just another reason to cancel the season altogether. In 3 days It will be 2 months since the last game. 2019/20 is already out of my system. Lets call the season, have the draft lottery based off of the current rankings and move on to the draft and free agency. Wright and Jackson don't fit the Mavs future and will cost 14 mil next year. I think I recall someone saying that they can bring back a player or players at 19 mil for next year. Mavs have to draft picks this year to help if needed in any trade. The only uncertainty is what will be the cap next year and with that the MLE the Mavs can use. Hopefully they can use both to get 2 new starters at SF and PF/C.
The best thing for me about cancelling the season is that LaBron and Kawhi will not have the opportunity to get another title. And we will be that much closer to finding out what will happen with the Greek Freak.
Are other teams chomping at the bit to trade for Wright and Jackson? No, I say not. But that is what the 2 draft picks are for this year. CLE, DEN, DET, MIL, PHX and UTH all do not have a 2nd round pick in this upcoming draft. Do any of them have a player available via trade that would start for the Mavs?

I'd still put Dirk above Karl Malone and Durant, and I think he has a real good case for Moses Malone as well. But whatever, everyone's rankings are different.
Dirk is top 15 in my unbiased take.
He's definitely top 1 in my heart though.

Durant is such a poor leader and I think between him and Irving, they´ll be a massive flop in Brooklyn. The guy was on the 2nd best team in the world, a young team as well, and he ran to the best team in the world to win two titles. How many titles does Dirk have, if he joins Shaq and Kobe or maybe a little dance with Duncan, Ginobili and Parker. Who is supposed to be impressed by that?
It´s not like Durant tried on a bad franchise for years. The guy played with Harden, Westbrook, Ibaka, Collison, Jackson, Thabo and still couldn´t win a title. Reggie Miller, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone or Patrick Ewing win a title with that supporting cast.

Totally hit the nail on the head. It's why I'll never respect Durant and will question his standing on any list, regardless of his individual talent. Dude ruined his legacy by making the most cowardly choice available. Rivals Lebron "Decision" and even surpasses it imo.
