Much ado about nothing. It's the playoffs and won't be the last time Luka gets a hard foul. I shudder to think what the reaction would be if this game were played in the 80's.  Whiteside even tried to help him up. Nice theater that Bullock and  DFS came to his rescue.
Waiting to hear about Mitchell's MRI. Hamstrings are no joke.

Sucks that he got injured. Never like to see that.

Yeah,  I feel ya on that. Never like to see key players injured, but that's the nature of the beast. If he can't go, Mavs should close them out.

I don't really see it as a hard foul or theater, more of a misunderstanding that escalated after an awkward fall.

-Luka wasn't mad.
-Whiteside tried to help him up, either as a gesture or to avoid the wrath of the refs.
-Dorian's view was blocked of Whiteside trying to help Luka up and it looked like he was just standing over him.
-Dorian arm bars (not really a shove) Whiteside to create space and help Luka up.  I don't see any malice by Dorian, just creating space to separate Luka and Whiteside and help his teammate up.
-Whiteside doesn't like being touched especially when he's trying to help Luka up and shoves Dorian.  Not the right response but certainly understandable.
-Reggie said "not in my house".

I'd have given Whiteside a T for shoving Dorian and Reggie a T for big dogging.  I don't think Whiteside should have been ejected.

Was it even a hard foul though? On replay, it looked like an offensive foul to me with the left arm warding off the block while the right hand tried to get the shot off. There was a throw-down shove from Whiteside while Luka was flailing his arms on the way to the floor. But it looked like the throw-down attempt failed to make contact.

Listen, the first quarter was refs trying hard to keep Utah in the game. But thereafter, it was hometown cookin’ most of the way. Sure, we were owed some calls from the last two games. But no denying we made some of that up last night. And from my seat, this call was part of the makeup effort.

Which kind of sucks.  Refs can pad their officiating stats in blowout games and then continue to screw us over in close ones.
Over the last two years, Mitchell is 22/74 (6/32 from 3PT) when guarded by DFS.

Think the Mavs close them out regardless of Mitchell’s status. Team looks broken after last nights beat down.
