DAL OFFSEASON: Trade & FA | Mavs "mostly done...but you never know."

Interesting. Dynamic scorer, Duffy client, only 25. He'd be a really fun backcourt mate for Luka if Chicago is willing to blow it up.

The other day I thought I read somewhere that CP3 said he preferred not to play in Dallas.  Cant seem to find were I might of seen this, dose anyone here recall this as well?

Zach Levine - A player who can get the ball in the fookin hoop, who's winning potential would be unlocked by RC and Luka!

ok, but is he as good as Dwight Powell?

it was part of the NBASupes dump that got people riled up. Kind of a sensitive subject.

Not saying either of the other two O'Conner names are realistic, necessarily, but I'd actually consider either Dinwiddie or LaVine to be pretty significant scores this time around.

You wouldn't?
Neither are two-way players. LaVine would be significant on offense, but I think he's out of reach with the assets we have. With Dinwiddie, even if he has a breakout year he'll just opt-out next offseason.

OK, I have to say I'm not familiar with the term "supes dump".  But thanks for the reply.

That´s the dream. Offensively we´d be set for the next decade.

If the Bulls draft SG, they´d still need a PG. We could use Brunson+Wright+Jackson+#18 to make it happen.

Craziest of all

Porzingis 31.6
Lavine 19.5
Doncic 10.1
DFS 4

We would still be in the Giannis sweepstakes with potential $47M in capspace and THEN we look for a defensive guard and defensive wing to end the NBA for the next decade. Kelly Oubre my ass. Big Grin

These scoring dudes might not be the best immediate fit but I'm glad we're trying to get Luka some playmaking help so we dont turn into the Harden Rockets where it's a one man show.

Lol!

Well, the note to which you’re referring came from that guy from a Hawks Board (NBASupes) who claims to an insider buddy.

Can't blow something up that was never a thing to begin with Tongue

In all seriousness though, Lavine would be a cool idea. He isn't my first choice since we don't really need more scoring, but Lavine in the role of THJ is a lot of fun to think about.

I think Lavine is the best Non All Star player in the league.

he is a flat out stud.

You could see him average 30 playing with Luka and he is the guy that I have always wanted over Oladipo

I just hope we do not have to get rid of our pick as I want a young wing player as well

I start to understand how Danny Ainge does it. Atlanta wants Hayward to opt-out and acquire Holiday. Danny starts leaks of trading for Holiday and trading Hayward to Indiana. He´ll get his big in the end.

Also in this random draft, if Ainge offered 14, 26 and 30 for a pick in the 8-10 range. I´d buy the strength in numbers theory, unless I´m totally in love with one of the guys in that 8-10 range. Would you bet on Okoro being better than each of Woodward, S. Bey and T. Bey?

LaVine has been REALLY bad defensively in the NBA.....like -10.0 bad last season.....

Sign me the F up.

I don't know where you got that 47M from in potential capspace from because in order to get anywhere close to that the Mavs would need to trade Powell+Kleber+Seth to make it happen. Which is ehhh not that realistic?

Maybe the Mavs convince the Bulls to be insane and gift us Lavine+OPJ for Powell+Jackson+Wright+Brunson+18. Mavs will be 1 Maxi/Seth trade away from a Giannis max. NOW WE COOKIN!

I'm going to disregard any Lavine rumors as just pure speculation and false until Woj, Stein, Shams or whoever else big time now reports it.

This is because I don't want to get my hopes up.

I've wanted Zach Lavine sooooooooooo long. Don't even tease me with this. I can't handle it.

Say what you want about Lavine as a defender (although I think he's gotten better and can continue to improve).... The dude can get buckets. And he's the absolutely PERFECT fit next to Luka on offense. Secondary playmaker, great 3 pt shooter, slasher.

I'm so all in on Lavine if he's available. I'm trading anything and everything not named Luka and KP for him if needed to.

That 19.5 mill deal fits so sweet into the trade for another starter and be able to create max cap space next summer if you dump Powell and Wright this summer plan ha.

Agree...We need bucket makers instead of 4 players hanging out on the 3 point line in the last 5 minutes...
Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...
