Seth signing made a bit of sense when you look at the third ballhandler role.
If THJ is on the way out -- Seth fulfills the "volume shooter" role too.

Or did we tell Kyrie he can have a friend on the team?
Number of roster spots for locker room guys / cheerleaders is limited. Hopefully Pinson isn´t back.

Day one of free agency. Sign two small guards to start things off.
But both of the signings were good signings.
Seth was/is lights out. He is a perfect backup PG that can also play off guard and punish defenses that dare overload on Kyrie+Luka.
Still, we need a starting center and wing badly right now. THJ+Holmes for Ayton. Bullock for Thybulle.

Your opinion, you're entitled to it. Reddish may be a question mark, but I don't see how you think Vincent isn't better than Schroeder and Prince isn't better than Brown, but that's your call. Lakers still did well IMO. Health will be the key with them.
If Seth Curry receives anything more than the vet minimum, it's a fail.
He is a very poor defensive player on the decline.
We need defense, rebounding and athleticism. He brings none of those.
If he signs for the vet minimum to be the third PG, then it's an Ok deal.
Otherwise, more Mavericks free agency crap.
Look for us to bring back Wes Matthews for the rest of the MLE.

Sources: The Mavericks used their $4-plus million biannual exception on Seth Curry, a 43.5% career 3-point shooter returning for his third stint in Dallas.

I guess re-making the C rotation doesn't include DP.
Maybe they'd re-brand him this time as a small forward.

Curry wasn't lights out last year. He struggled with his shot. Maybe he bounces back.

Great move since the MLE is still there. Now ship THJ and Bullock.
Man -- Curry on the BAE is a terrific value.
That's incredible value for Seth imo.
44% career 3pt shooter, already established chemistry with Luka. Sure he doesn't have the defensive chops, but thats like trying to eat soup with a very fancy knife. Wrong tool.
Hes going to finally bring some consistent shooting and I think this definitely means both THJ and Bullock are outta here.
I keep waiting for the whiplash of stupidity but all solid moves so far this Summer

Im trying to figure out lineups where he makes sense though. Small and cant guard next to Luka and Kyrie. We were thinking Hardy would have the bench microwave scorer role.
Lets say Kyrie/Josh Green/Luka start.
Hardy/Seth/Bullock off the bench?

This tells a lot.
1. They've got plans for the MLE.
2. THJ is gone.
3. A bigger trade is eminent that is neutral financially that allows for both the MLE and BAE to be used.
It's like Mavs Sudoku.

Yes. The group of Luka, Kyrie, Seth, Green, Hardy is well rounded and can do everything you need
Really curious what trade we have lined up. Maybe Ayton and Williams. With THJ, Holmes, Bullock, and Mcgee outgoing

He's definitely going to come in for the final 5 minutes of the 1st and play until 8 mins left in the 2nd with the 2nd unit. Which means he'll be next to either 1 of Kyrie or Luka.
As long as he's surrounded by 2 big wings (say OMP/Green/whoever they sign for the MLE) then Seth fits like a glove as the teams secondary ball handler.
Start:
Luka
Kyrie
???
Maxi
????
1st subs= Seth/Green/OMP
