Why, look at that. A realistic report that doesn't include the Mavs.

Quote:Kirschner projects that a four-year, $110MM deal could satisfy both Collins and Atlanta.

Well, that's not great. Not sure the Mavs or anyone else could pay him more. Is the dream over?

Another team can offer him 25% of the CAP (112M for 21-22) with 5% raises per year.  His max RFA offer will be something like 4YR @ 120.7M.

That would be a decent deal for Atlanta.

Multiple sources including those close to talks said a proposed framework including Raptors guards Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby, and the 4th overall pick in Thursday’s draft for Simmons was rejected by Toronto.

The Wizards, multiple sources have said, are aligning toward a full rebuild should Beal ask out. It’s not a coincidence that Bleacher Report reported that there have been preliminary talks between the Lakers and Wizards about a deal for Russell Westbrook, a deal that league sources said was increasingly likely as of Sunday night.

Morey is off his rocker. That's the kind of package you ask for for Embiid, not the tainted Simmons.

That would be insane. But looking at the salaries it only makes sense if the 76ers include additional pieces. Most likely Harris. In that case them rejecting the offer would make more sense.

I'm going to need mod help with that next Monday night, as I won't be near a computer until about 10:30 pm CST, and many of the fireworks will have already gone off.

The Mavs’ related free agency news in here:
“New Orleans' deal appears directly engineered as a way to clear salary-cap space for an aggressive offer for Kyle Lowry in free agency. The Lakers, Sixers, Mavericks and Heat all remain linked by league sources as potential Lowry suitors, which will be just one element of a cluttered point guard market. It's believed New Orleans, like each other team just mentioned, would have its sights set on Spencer Dinwiddie should Lowry choose to play elsewhere. The spinning of that point guard carousel will surely impact the landing spots for Lonzo Ball and Dennis Schroder, too…

Dallas has actively explored trade scenarios involving Josh Richardson, sources said, in the event the swingman opts in to his 2021-22 player option. The Mavericks must make their own efforts to clear salary space for a planned spurge in free agency that still appears to prioritize retaining Tim Hardaway Jr. in addition to Dallas' other pursuits.

The Mavericks are also considered to be a possible landing spot for Jazz guard Mike Conley, although there's a strong belief around the league that Utah will be successful in its attempts to shed salary and offer Conley a substantial deal.”

If Holmes goes somewhere other than Charlotte, is there a feasible scenario where they see some value in DP, and would work with Dallas on a S&T for Graham, with Powell going to Charolette?

In the same vein, will Sac be looking for C help if they lose Holmes? Powell there for Bagley?

Basically if Cha snd Sac miss out on Holmes (we get him), there are then at least 3 teams in those two and Bos looking for C help. Things looking up for a Powell move!!!
