Poll: With the current injuries, defensive struggles, and rumors swirling what would you do with KP?

Hold on to him! --- This will pass and he will be an elite player once he can get in game shape and put these unlucky injuries behind him.

Trade him this deadline in March! --- His value is possibly at the highest it will be and the Mavs need to get whatever they can in return for him.

Give him the rest of the season, then trade him this summer! --- Let KP get back and play himself back into shape/health and increase his trade value, but then move him this summer because clearly he is not the right fit next to Luka and with RC.

Dan Favale is one of the worst sport writers with a job today imo. This isn't his most outrageous piece, but how can you justify Gallinari over KP? Let alone Zion.

And I know Zion is the next best thing since sliced bread, but the dude has only played 19 games. 19!! The article even mentioned he's only played 565 minutes in his entire career. We don't even know Zion can play more than 30 games a year yet we're declaring him a top 5 player in his position?

Kristaps from December to February was a top 3 PF in the league. In Feb alone he averaged 25 and 11 on 46/36/83 splits to go with 2.3 blocks per game. His slow start in the beginning of the season has really thrown some shade over just how great KP has been for the last 3 months of the season.
14x All-Star, 12x all-NBA, 1x MVP, 1x Finals MVP, 1 NBA Championship: Dirk Nowitzki, the man, the myth, the legend.

Good. Keep the weight down in the upper body. Dude should work on his core/leg strenght the most, balance, etc. His issue is his weak base and has been for years.

I love KP and think he's going to only improve over time. It's become clear that he has to feel comfortable in an offense to flourish and that is something that will take time. It's also a good reason to not shuffle the team around him every year as I don't think that would help him.

Saw some Dirk shots last night which I like. The one shot I pray gets coached out of him is any shot that has him floating in any direction. You will never hit a turnaround shot floating some diagonal direction away from the basket. There is too much geometry involved to hit a shot like that consistently. If the floating jumpshot can get coached out of him he should be good to go.

What I do like is the development of his Tim Duncan bank shot.
This Reunion Rowdie says the AAC needs "Luka's Lunatics" for the Luka/KP and gang era.

YES. This is an important tool in the box.

Last three games:

11 FTAs
11 FTAs
11 FTAs

He's close to five FTs per game now over the year. That's such an important skill. Would be great if he could average 6+ per game in the future.

Porzingis has been great in the bubble. Very confident. I think he showed his best basketball this season. Even on an off shooting night he scored 22.

Now the question is whether the role players can join the party.  Getting KP to a good place is important, but if the rest of our shooters can't hit an open shot after standing around watching the Luka/KP show, then none of it will translate to playoff success.

Anyone else notice that his PER finally crept above 20 for the year? Good work, KP!!

Give most of the shots to KP!

Doncic is great getting to the rim and getting the And1, but he never strikes you as a player that can make jump shots anywhere within the 3 point line.

As compared to KP, that has great shooting mechanics for such a big. Its hard to guard a shooter that literally has his elbows on your head, and to contest you would have to get physical. With him, you get a feel that he can stabilize big leads because of his efficiency.

KP walked right into that trap laid by the Clips - if not for Morris some one else would have tried to stir sh#t up. They've got quite the amount of instigators, but he's way too smart not to learn from that experience.
