Everyone is available except KP/Luka. Kleber would be ideal for them. Kleber + Wright + GSW 2nd?

Mavs get worse tbh. I rather do deals with the GS 2nd and Lee, and maybe Jackson. Rest untouchable unless a real difference maker is available. And Oubre isn't that.

Russell is not the sort of player you want to build a team around, just ask Brooklyn.
Adding him to a Star like KAT is a good idea, but making him your franchise player by default will end badly.

My wishlist as the trade deadline gets close:

Myles Turner
Aaron Gordon (not happening since we don't have a PF to send them)
Marcus Morris (we're getting outbid, but a guy can dream)
RHJ
Burks
Harkless
Olynyk

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.

In broad terms, I would like, if nothing else, to see the TPE used instead of wasted, perhaps to take on a year-and-a-half salary that could be filler later on as well as a pick asset or two, and Lee for a guy who expires this year or next who would at least play more than Jackson.

I like Myles, as he's the home town kid, but I don't think he worth the 18 mil we'd have to pay him in 2021. Does he really put us over the top?

I would love to see Dallas be the third team that helps facilitate this. However, if the Clippers win the bid for Morris, maybe we could revisit my idea from January...

I doubt the Knicks view him as their franchise player, but they need players and a 23 year old East All-Star is not a bad start.

Furthermore how many games did the Nets win with Russell last year. How many are they winning with Irving right now?

Irving for Russell was a necessity to get the signature of Beta Kevin. Hardly a judgment on the ability of Russell.

I just think he is a stat filler not a win getter.

Maybe NY are playing the long game and hope adding Russell could get them KAT in a couple of seasons if he demands a trade.

Knicks should just trade all the random PFs they signed in the off-season for draft assets and move on to the next off-season and the draft.
