Just my opinion, but I think we'll find out that missing out on what Brunson can do next year will prove to be more of an issue than anything potentially improved by adding those others into the mix.

I'm thinking the biggest key in the second half of last year was Luka finally playing himself into shape and playing like a superstar. After that I would say it was getting ride of the bad chemistry of KP while replacing most of his offense with Din and Bertans. I'm not sure how much having two playmakers on the court at one time changed the offense. It seems to be more of I go you go. I'm actually really interested to see the impact of having Wood out there. I think Brunson's biggest value was when Luka was off the court. That is what we are going to miss him the most. My hope is that with Luka's new focus on conditioning it wont be that much. Still very worried about playmaking depth, but I bet we start this next season better than we started the last one.

Regular season should be fine
I don't think anyone should be surprised by 60+ wins if we get a skinny, motivated Luka We just need to do some moves to keep him around here long term. Get it done, Nico.

Luka + Secondary creator + elite rim runners + good shooters= no answers for defenses. Now can Dallas be a top 10 defensive team or is their ranking the second half of the year closer to truth? Also, if Luka is out things sort of go up in smoke, I believe. Last year our bench unit when Luka rested was great and I think was one of the sneaky good things about this team. Dallas will have trouble re-capturing this imo.

It is funny how I used to get attached to these foreign guys with athleticism. There were a few of them over the years.

Yeah, a huge part of why the team was so good with Luka off the court was Brunson. Din has some big shoes to fill. Hope he stays healthy.

T-Pups will be better, but I don't see why people are discounting Memphis when they just had a good draft with young athletic wings to add to the vets. They lost Slo-Mo, they're young but they have very good depth even without Jackson. Brandon Clarke can play and he can fit in Jackson's spot. Tillman is also a good player to plug in. .Could they take a step back? Sure. But I guess people think last year was a fluke. If they stay healthy, I don't. But that's just me.

Wouldn’t mind getting the 4 seed with the LAC as the 5 and getting over that hump in the first round. Wipe that smug look off or Morris face permanently!
