Poll: With the current injuries, defensive struggles, and rumors swirling what would you do with KP?

Hold on to him! --- This will pass and he will be an elite player once he can get in game shape and put these unlucky injuries behind him.

Trade him this deadline in March! --- His value is possibly at the highest it will be and the Mavs need to get whatever they can in return for him.

Give him the rest of the season, then trade him this summer! --- Let KP get back and play himself back into shape/health and increase his trade value, but then move him this summer because clearly he is not the right fit next to Luka and with RC.

HOLY KRISTAPS: All Things Porzingis | TRADED to WAS
#1
Star
I think Kristaps deserves his own thread like Luka, so we can drop any little tidbit connected to him in one place without cluttering the board.

When I heard this in his interview it got me thinking. He didn't feel good and still did well enough to be an all-star. Now that he's heavier and feels good, can't wait to see how that translates on the court!

Yep and it also helps explain his injury to some extent.

I totally agree. However, even though I was on team bench Dirk, I really didn’t like seeing him come off the bench.

I honestly don´t even care about his offense as long as he is able to hit open jumpers. I am just happy that for the first time since 2011 the Mavs will have a real impact defender starting at PF/C.  Someone that intimidates opposing guards, forces them to change their shot and gets at least 2 blocks per game. No more oldman Dalembert, Chandler or DAJ. Not to mention Zaza, Kaman or Dirk playing center.

I think they said he’s going to miss 15-20 games due to load management as they work him back
"And Peja with the dagger."-balldontliez on 11/15/10 when Peja hit a 3 to put the hornets up 84-75 with 9 MIN LEFT!  Guess who won the game?  That's right, the mavericks." -msu15

Love the confidence. Same with Luka. The seem like they know they are going to be trouble together for the league.

Quote:“I always want to be aggressive and showcase what I’m capable, stretching the floor with my height and being dangerous in a lot of situations,” Porzingis said after the scrimmage. “I missed basketball. I miss competing so much. Hopefully, I can start the season the right way and showcase right away what I’m capable of.”

Porzingis would go on to score 10 points in the first five minutes.

Quote:“He’s a terrific offensive player,” Carlisle said. “And it’s obvious he’s worked extremely hard to get him back to this point. It’s got to be exciting to get out there for the first time in a long time in front of a crowd in an NBA arena. We’re early on in camp, but he continues to do extremely well.”

Quote:“I just want to connect with the people here,” he said. “It’s a new place for me. People don’t really know me. Obviously, I want my playing to talk by itself. But I also want to connect with the fans. I love doing it. It puts a smile on my face when I see all these kids asking for pictures and autographs.”
“From the places I’ve lived, I think Dallas probably has the nicest people,” Porzingis said. “People are really kind here and polite. Everybody’s smiling and everybody’s open. And that’s a very good quality that the city and people have here.”

Quote:And as for his chemistry with Doncic?

“We’re trying to develop that,” he said. “We’re working on that. We already have a connection off the court. We know each other. We speak Spanish. And so on. That will help us create good chemistry on the floor. And we’re both young, we both like to run and attack and be aggressive. We’re going to help each other so much on the court.”
