DAL OFFSEASON: Trade & FA | Mavs "mostly done...but you never know."
An example of why Dallas puts such a high priority on chemistry:

Feels like they're working on Crowder, but that's a guess.

EDIT: welp, this speculation was over before the post even went through. So much for my guesses!

Baynes / Ibaka / Marc Gasol / Millsap

prolly the best options for bigs

Whiteside, Ibaka, Saric, KCP for full MLE or a bit more.

I thought Marc Gasol was going overseas? If not, I'd probably take him on a 1 year MLE deal. He's probably the best defender of that entire group and can still hit a 3.

Baynes would be such a good fit...

Crazy how little he ended up doing with so many assets

We'll see what OKC can do. They should already be consolidating picks for young talent

This is what happens when you only do deals if you absolutely win it, the other side simply doesn't want to work with you anymore. Be it teams or players.

Every team has that "player" that they thought is overpaid, but sometimes it is actually good for the moral of the team to be flexible.  It isn't just business, there is a human and sport factor in it than will make you keep your guys.

I think it was already refuted, fake report.

Turn back the clock one year.

Ainge trades Rozier and Hayward for Kemba, who he pays even more than Hayward is getting today.

Good use of assets?

That is the difference when you have a good young coach and a HOF coach who influence front office decisions.

There is something that was clearly wrong in that dressing room, that even front office could not fix.

the conference finals is nice and everything, but that team had so much potential that is thrown away. They will continue to be contenders because Tatum is simply one of the elite players of his generation.

I was secretly hoping for Crowder on a bargain 3-year deal. That's a pretty good deal for Phoenix.

Let´s get Dario from the Suns. Burke needs to eat a bullet and take the minimum, if he´s there for the full MLE. Burke can receive 0,0002% ownership of the Mavs post career to make up the difference.

Now that´s interesting. Here comes the MLE signing.

You guys are all overblowing their culture issue.

If some dumb franchise had offered THJ 100/4, he´d have been like, nah I love this Mavs culture so much, I´ll opt into my final year.

Hayward was looking for that last huge payday (before his injury+age-related decline) and his calculated gamble paid off.

Is Ainge a ruthless mofo? Absolutely, but come on now.

I would not be upset to gat Batum on the minimum. He's still only 31. I have no idea why he's gotten so bad. But I'd like to grab him and see if you can fix him.

Pretty much just injuries. His career has taken a Parsons like trajectory.

Even at the minimum I'd be hesitant for Batum, but I suppose there's no risk at the min.

So Bogi is now the only good FA standing (not counting Davis and Ingram, who will resign). NY and Atlanta still with plenty of cap space. Guys like KCP, Ibaka or even Saric might get big offers from New York.
