DAL OFFSEASON: Trade & FA | Mavs "mostly done...but you never know."

But do we even still need Crowder?
I assume the Heat have offered Crowder something like 24/2 with a team option, so basically one year $12M. Not many teams that can even beat that, outside of a S&T. Mavs certainly cannot.

Creating missing cap space for Charlotte is easy. Just send one of the lesser used guys like Monk and a second rounder to OKC or New York.

It's a massive overpay, for sure. But I'm still kinda happy to see a good player go to Charlotte.

It'll be interesting to see how they clear the cap space to make that offer. I'm rooting for Boston to be cut out entirely and lose him for nothing.

I agree I hope Boston gets screwed as its pretty fucked out how shit went down. The rumors swirling that they tried to trade Kimba are out there as well. That organization could get a bad reputation as Kyrie left for that same reason.

I mean Zeller is expiring. I don't see how it could be so hard to move him.

Irving, Horford, Hayward... I think it's clear they already have one. Players seem to all want out, not in.

I am happy Boston got nothing out of this deal. It boggles my mind that Boston and Pacers couldn't work something out. In the end it might have been just that the Pacers didn't want to give Hayward 120 mil? Not sure.

My guess is Hayward had Charlotte offer on the table since day one, worked hard for better place but didn't happen.

After Harkless and Bradley, I don't see where Crowder fits.

Crowder's biggest suitors according to a report was Lakers, Clippers, and the Mavs. Lakers spent their MLE already.

I bet Clippers give him an MLE deal since they lost J Green to FA. I would think Crowder could at least get what J Green got, 2 for 15 if not more. I don't think the Clips valued Green that much in how they used him. They might value Crowder more.

Would love Crowder here but I won't get my hopes up. I think his price will be too high.

Ainge got too greedy for the perfect deals
Crazy how little he ended up doing with so many assets

We'll see what OKC can do. They should already be consolidating picks for young talent

I'm shocked looking at those contracts.

Crowder 3/30 in Phoenix?

Crowder off the board. No idea what the Clips are doing? Seems really odd they haven't spent their MLE.

They still need to trade for PG. Rozier might be available now Smile

So not many MLE-guys left. Anyone else outside of Millsap? I have lost sight on who is still available.

Yeah, I think that's the case. Even if they thought he was worth the money (far from something we can assume) then at this number, they'd really have had to include some real assets to make it cap legal.

Honestly great signing for PHX.

Crowder as a shooter isn't the best but it seems like PHX is going ALL in on making the playoffs.
