you can't expect everything from the same single player but i agree that Love's poor D would be a problem if he joined mavs, despite what he can do in other aspects. a defensive presence is what we need most but there ain't legit bigs that may help strengthen our D at low post. justin holiday may be a good acquisition in terms of defense, theoretically at least, but there ain't no such big man in the buyout market that may help us defensively. we better look forward to next season now tbqh.

that said, we still need to put up a good fight in the playoffs this season, so as to convince some decent FAs that we are still a good team and have the potential to be a contender.

I'm a bit cynical on this move and I think the Clips just singlehandedly nuked their chances in the playoffs.
They never learn

Maybe, Maybe not.  We'll just have to see. Westbrook played well for the Lakers after committing to coming off the bench. He adds some intangibles they're missing from the other PG's they had.

Westbrook certainly played slightly more efficient compared to last year with the Lakers coming off the bench, but he wasn't playing well at all. There's a reason why Laker fans bemoaned his existence every game. The dude just doesn't make winning plays.

The upside for the Clips is that they just didn't have a point guard at all. Westbrook, for all of his faults, does generate open looks for guys. The game for the Clips imo now becomes can they beat a playoff team despite Westbrook throwing away 10 possessions a game? They certainly have the talent to do so.
Bulls bringing in Patrick Beverly and the Bucks are signing Meyers Leonard.  He has been personal non grata since some comments a few years ago but supposedly has really tried to make amends.  He has always been a pretty limited player.  But at least he doesn’t have 17 million left on his deal.

Bulls are just a complete bummer of a franchise the past 25 years.
who is our next signing from buyout market after Justin holiday then? how has LMA worked out?

Not sure there is one coming. Mavs don't have a roster spot and whatever available signing has to not only be better than Frank but Frank+cost of waiving Frank+New contract on the books+the added tax.

The guy has to be pretty damn good for such a move.

*They could waive Morris, but I really do think Morris is ahead of Frank on the depth chart despite having played a single minute.
Bulls waiting Tony Bradley for the Beverly signing.  Thank goodness we don't need to worry about us not signing Goran again.

Real question is whether they should give Bradley a try. Only played 33 minutes this season, but his advanced numbers at least warrant a look.

On/Off last four years

+13.4 (this year, small sample size, backing up Vucevic)
+ 9.5 (backing up Vucevic)
+ 8.0 (backing up Vucevic)
- 4.4 (backing up Gobert)

Three years from 2019 - 2022 he got decent minutes (avg. ~500 minutes) and held his own. Reasonable chance he´d at least he an improvement on McGee, like every other walking human being that is 7´0. Undecided

Barton is more intriguing than Morris and Hampton is more intriguing than FN. Hampton is Dallas native, if I remember correctly, wanted to be in Dallas. I would definitely pull a trigger on him
