He was terrible all around in the 3rd. Defensively AND offensively. But he didn't need to be more selfish, he needed to be more assertive with getting the team into NON-ONE-ON-ONE offense. Mavs were just standing around.
But most importantly.....the DEFENSE lost this game.

Those "worthless scrubs" often carry HIM on defense.
But I am not here to talk about Luka (you brought him up). The team D was terrible this game and has been on the road basically the whole playoffs.
Our defense is bad because we don't have a playable C. You can see the difference Looney made just by being big and not complete garbage at rebounding.

I don't disagree with you here for the most part. Maxi was terrible tonight (D included). DP continues to offer nothing in the playoffs. BUT the rotations and close-outs weren't good enough across the board.
Kidd has his work cut out for him because the Warriors are too smart to fall for the things that killed Utah and Phoenix. There's no way to out-scheme our guys getting obliterated by Kevin Looney.
Unfortunately, there's not really a blueprint to use that shows how to beat these Warriors in a series since it hasn't happened a lot. As great as Luka can be, this isn't anything new to the Warriors since they've faced LeBron for years in the Finals and a prime/MVP-level Harden with a similar Rockets offense built on threes.

We just gotta follow the Cleveland blueprint:
1. Wait for Looney to get injured
2. Wait for Draymond to get suspended
3. Wait for Wiggins to miss 20 shots in game 7
Mavs adjusted and beating the GSW until they went to zone.
If Mavs adjusts to the zone, which should be feasible, GSW has no chance in this series. They pulled up a surprise scheme, and it worked, but I question if they can do that again. So far GSW has won on coaching, but I dont see it anylonger from now on.
Mavs have figured them out. This is like Suns series all over again.
