I´m not even kidding, when I say now I wish they had traded KP/THJ for Westbrook. Big Grin

Nope.

Brunson will be gone this summer, and Dinwiddie is his replacement. Literally because Cuban thinks he's a cool guy (that's my current cynical take, anyway).
So much for the hold on to him to rebuild his value crowd. A few good weeks that ended with another injury didn´t change a thing. He was a John Wall level negative asset.
Not happy about the return but at least the KP drama is over. Hope that they can flip Bertans, THJ or Dinwindie for another big.

Or they can continue to more or less suck. Are you playing Dinwiddie over Brunson?

Not missing anything but just forgetting we have an intern as the GM and an owner who is the smartest man in the room.
The thinking must be:

Mavs have looked as good if not better without KP in the rotation. This way we keep the top 8 of:
Luka
JB
DFS
Bullock
Maxi
Powell
Green

intact and add 2 versatile players who can come off the bench. This is about as much of a silver lining as I can make because this trade on the face of it looks terrible. Not even a pick. At that point you give KP to TOR and take their 222 first.

Say?

Can we bring Donnie back?
Not even Deni or a pick? Unreal.

Yes, this is the glass half full view, and it's legit.

...especially if you believe nobody wanted KP, and it seems they didn't.

Kleber and Bertans will rotate just fine. I guess Powell is back in as the starting center, but the reality is that's what it was going to be anyway because KP would've been hurt.

Or even Kispert. Not even a pick. Im shocked.

Fucking Torrey Craig got a better return than KP
Please tell me this means a deal is lined up for THJ and Powell to be on the move….
Having got over my initial disgust I am just happy that the Mavs didn’t throw a FRP too.  Would have been a cherry on the ineptitude cake of the last decade.
Man, I know KP misses a lot of games, but we have the weakest front court in the league now.
Would be nice if the Wizards would eat Burke´s salary. With Dinwindie on the roster they have no need for him.
