That's very different from saying "he looks ok."

His brain and heart will be ok, will his body? I mean, it can get worse if his body has to try to make up for a deficiency.

Thanks for posting this video.

With how Luka reacted so immediately AND with how gingerly he moved on it afterward I really have a hard time imagining he doesn't miss significant time.

We'll see.

While I was watching that video, it really pushed home to me the importance of both being very flexible and stretching before strenuous activity. I know these guys go through stretching routines before games. I just wonder how flexible some of these guys are.

Not saying Luka isn’t flexible, just thinking about those stretching routines and I remember in my youth thinking these guys don’t look like they can do the “splits”. At that time I was taking Tae Kwon Do and was very flexible. I believed then that that flexibility helped me play basketball and kept me away from injury. So from that time forward, I always wondered how much flexibility factored into these guys training routines (not just stretching, but pushing the muscles to the point where they can permanently go as far as the bones will let them and then maintaining that).

He basically restated his tweet with no new information. Complete waste of time.

The actual answer is "we won't know anything till his MRI so anyone saying anything definitive now is making a mistake." That guy appears to be a master at dancing around that answer while trying to keep people engaged.

If anyone wants continued doom and gloom here's Callie "I didn't vote Luka as an All-Star starter" Caplan "reporting" and I mean reporting in the loosest sense of the word.

Again essentially guessing adding no new information but she needs clicks and has to throw a little fuel into the fire.

So Luka gets a mysterious non contact injury in the last game of the year, 2 minutes before he was scheduled to sit out the rest of the night. Now the headlines read: "Mavs vs Jazz Game 1: Will Luka Play?"

Hmm.... sounds a little fishy, especially given what we know about Kidd's mind games. My conspiracy theory is there is no injury. Kidd is F'ing with Utah and Luka will be a "game time decision"

From The Ringer in their article last year "The Fire that Fueled Giannis":

Kidd was known for playing mind games.

His coaching style with the Nets, and then with the Bucks, was described as “psychological warfare” by one former player.

“Jedi mind tricks,” Oppenheimer says

“Mind fucks,” says one former teammate, a bit more bluntly.
