No. But I would give up any combo of not KP, Luka for Brog including future firsts. Mavs should have signed him outright a couple years ago.

Please no two 2nds for anyone who isn't a guy you are intending on resigning (like a Fournier). Gay, DG, those types are worth 1 2nd rounder for a rental. And we certainly shouldn't be trading away the rooks who have no value at the moment anyway.

Hopefully Mavs can get a useful rotation player on the cheap.

All of this recent Indy news is surprising to me, given that we hadn't really heard about them wanting to blow things up. Maybe its because they have really hit the skids as of late. I love a lot of their players.

I think in a KP deal you would be hoping (I think correctly?) that a Maxi, Sabonis pairing would work better than the Turner/Sabonis pairing. Sabonis would take some touches from Luka but that isn't the worst thing plus PnR would be amazig.

I would love Sabonis here. I think he's sort of an old school basketball player but I love his game and think Maxi compliments him well. The tricky thing with Sabonis is you will always have a tough time finding a good frontcourt partner for him. With Maxi though here for years to come I would be good with that type of move.

The deal could be as simple as Doug McDermott + Sabonis for KP. I think KP and Turner might be an awkward fit, not sure. Pacers aren't really wanting to add more salary so they might rather dump Jeremy Lamb in the process.

San Antonio is basically at the tax line and Johnson salary is higher than Gay. So you have to take more salary. That's why Lyles, who expressed a wish to be moved and is owed 5 mil, comes handy. If we do 2 for 1 trade, we have to cut someone anyway. I guess we could include another min salary like Iwundu, but I don't really care if SA would demand Terry. Those two guys contribute at our position of need - big wing, behind DFS and Maxi.

KP's value is higher if Mavs don't "have" to move him. Whoever decides they need to move a player is going to lose the trade. So if KP is unhappy and causing problems then the Mavs are not going to get 100 cents to the dollar for him.

The Pacers might be the ones in a tough spot because they have a high payroll and their team isn't good. So if they feel like they need to rejigger their roster then they aren't going to get top dollar. I think KP for Sabonis is fair value in that scenario.

More likely imo they might have 1 or 2 salary dumping type moves but otherwise will try to run this team back next year when they get healthy.

I like a lot of Pacers players but Sabonis would be an amazing second star if you are trying to find a replacement for KP. I think Sabonis does a lot of the things you want KP to do except shoot outside. But the Luka, Sabonis PnR would be a nightmare for teams.
