RFA: Bogdanovic signs 4 yrs/$72M offer with ATL | SAC does NOT match

This is the first thing I thought of, too, and it might be correct.

But FWIW, I heard an athletic podcast last night and the had the guy who broke the story (was it Amick?) on to talk about this. His read on it was that not only was this a rules violation by Sac/Mil, but that Boganovic had NOT agreed to the contract and did NOT like the money. His take was "there's no way I can see him ending up in Milwaukee, at this point."

Not sure what to expect.

Interesting. Looks like Bogi to the Bucks really isn't happening.

I also saw a rumor that his deal would have been 4/60. I've gotta think another team like Dallas would match that in a heartbeat.

If they get docked draft picks, that's a helluva gut punch to the Bucks.

If they never contacted the player which is what he insinuates and especially if he goes elsewhere hard to fine them draft picks.

They are getting hit with a massive fine for sure tho.

Who knew Bogdanovic might become the biggest story of the whole off-season. Whoa.

Imagine if we snatch Bogdanovic from underneath the Bucks and they get dodged draft picks, plus invested five 1sts to upgrade from Bledsoe to Holiday. Meanwhile all their veterans opted out and ran away, too.

If Giannis doesn´t sign the supermax in the next 72 hours, overpaying for Bogdanovic via Green + a future lightly protected 1st round pick (and dump Powell) would be worth it....

I guess I'm the only one who is concerned about the Mavs being screwed in this investigation. What do I mean?

1) The Kings, the Bucks, and Bogi's agent agree on the deal.
2) Donnie calls Bogi's agent and says, "Oh, we were hoping to get Bogi. We would have given him a bit more money, no state sales tax in Texas, and he would have gotten to play with his buddy."
3) After Bogi and his agent talk, they call the Kings and Bucks and say he doesn't want to go to the Bucks after all and won't sign. Publicly, they say he never wanted to go there. Tears in Milwaukee.
4) It comes out that the Mavs stuck their nose in a done deal that the league had no problem with. *They're* the ones who tampered.

I actually feel kind of dumb after typing that. But I do think that there will be some piece in here that makes it that the Mavs don't end up with Bogi, when that's what was hoped-for as of last night.

I wonder who leaked the trade to the Athletic. Was it a famous double agent?

Woj's fault the Bucks are ruined...

Really, none of the breaking the rules matters, just the fact it was reported.  Typical logic now days.

We don't tamper.

1.)  Mark was probably too busy filming shark tank to tamper.
2.)  Last offseason where every big name cleared the board at 12:01AM of free agency, we got diddled by Danny Green for a solid week before finally landing Delon Wright.

He's the Energizer Buddy of Tank Commanders.  If Bogi signs here and Giannis leaves the Bucks next year, Wes deserves to have his number retired, a statue and a street named after him that intersects with Nowitzki Way.  God bless Wes Matthews.
