This is good for the Mavs. Now we can move on from Giannis and start looking for a 3rd cornerstone now. I never thought Giannis was leaving, but this will seal the deal. He's definitely staying. His team is ridiculously loaded now.

The three picks were not about Jrue, they were about Giannis. And he is worth all of them. Milwaukee is a more or less guaranteed contender for next 2-3 years. We will see, if they have what is needed to win it all.

Even if they don't win a Championship, you got to make the trade to keep the most important player your franchise's history since Lew Alcindor. It's rare enough that you stumbled into a generational talent, but it's a generational talent that isn't just counting down the days until he can leave for LA or Miami or NYC.

I'm still confused by the timing of this. 
If it was us I have no doubt the deal would be voided and we'd be blocked from signing or trading for Bog for a few years

Well good. That means we don’t have to go through a whole season of will he come here. Just get better this year. And use your cap space next year to take on players in trade or FA to improve more.
