True. But THJ was a tax to get KP. We would have never traded for THJ until he put up a season like last year.

I'm pretty sure that's not true. There were rumors both before and after the KP deal that Dallas had talked to NY about trading Matthews for THJ.

Bad THJ is a major upgrade over Wes tho   
But yeah I vaguely remember something about that. I stand corrected. Although who knows how legit those rumors were. I tend to think alot of these rumors that kind of make you scratch your head are just ways to initiate conversations with teams and get talking about what it would take to get the player you really want instead. At least from the Mavs standpoint.

THJ shot 40% on like the third or fourth most attempts from 3pt last season. That’s not only efficient, it’s elite. What do you want?

To flip him into Buddy Hield. If THJ worked great offensively here.... Wait until you get some Buddy Love in your life.
