This one is quite a headscratcher. What will we do with so many small guards? Is someone going out?
Wright sign and trade for a useable player would be great...
Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...

Has to. Not getting far with $6M MLE.

How do we get Jae now that we are out of money? Wright in SnT?

We aren't "out of money." The MLE is close to $10 mil, and we spent about $3 mil this year on Jae. Some of it still has to go to Terry - unless his draft rights go out in trade.

I disagree. After last summer in the playoffs, not retaining him would be a huge loss. Now magnified by the trade of Seth.

So I’ve been expecting Trey’s return - what about a return of the mak?

Burke signing makes zero sense. He gets a little bit more than the minimum but the Mavs basically punted on any big MLE target.

Its 10 mill over 3 years

Number wise the contract is a steal imo, but if it takes you out of MLE targets. It doesn't make much sense. Unless they never were really interested in Crowder or Wood.

but really, Burke makes complete sense. A little surprised he got the full mile but I ain’t mad about it.

He didn't get $10 mil per year. He got $10 mil total over three seasons.

Not necessarily. If they want a MLE-type player, it implies Wright is going out in a trade.

Burke was great for us and cheap (see: easily moveable). We need PG help. This is a no brainer.

Wow. That's a super value deal. 3 mil a year basically. Isn't that basically like vet min?

That is a great team friendly deal. He will likely be one of our 1st guards off the bench.

Love the move as he fits our system

The Mavericks playing this very well right now

I do suspect a few guards will be going out

Right now I know Delon but could Brunson be on his way out as well?

I think DAL is breaking their MLE into pieces and any big addition is coming via trade. Glad Burke stuck around.

whatever that means. He wants more cash? He never wanted to be on the Rockets. Isola is a trash source
