Leadership matters and toughness matter. We'd probably need to give Millsap two years as well, which makes me uneasy. I'd love to see if we can pry Tucker away from Houston. At least he only has a year left.

Super-bad RAPTOR.  -2.3 offense, -3.4 defense.

He's the same age as Tyler Bey.

For those that have would a Zion and Wood front court work well?

Opposing centers would average 40 against them.

Jae is a player I would have little problem with the Mavs locking up long term with the MLE. The only question then is, how do you pay Terry? I assume you can't give him vet min because he's not a vet...

Jae's really versatile on defense.

His 3pt percentage was really bad the last few years.  Then he was on fire after getting traded to Miami.  Kind of a career resurgence for him.

Like the player but I'm always leery of buying guys coming off career years.  I'd steer clear of locking him up long term. 1-2 years ok.

Eric Pincus just said on the live stream that the Mavs went HARD at a Danilo Gallinari sign & trade but they weren't able to get a deal done and are believed to have moved on.

We have the MLE. Are you saying it's not dumb to give him that?

I think that is a good decision. Don't overpay 32 year old 3-non D guy.

Bummer. Wonder where he ends up.

That leaves Wood and Jae on the Mavs' big board...

Seems easily tradable. You'd have a stable of fresh defenders to keep throwing at the opposing team. Does he hate Carlisle?

Why? So many names out there in the MLE range.

If Gallinari doesn’t want to play for Atlanta, NY or Charlotte he may have to settle for an MLE deal.
