Guys, one of the "wins" for this season was to get KP into the offseason in relatively good health. That seems to have happened, at least there are no treatments or surgeries being discussed. Big difference from the last few seasons. So, mission accomplished.
I think his future with DAL hinges on what he commits to for the summer. If he has the humility to really embrace the need to evolve, then this is the summer to do it. Work with someone on moves in the post and get comfortable shooting over a defender in your personal space. Go find Dirk's coach and learn how to shoot the one-legged stepback. Spend more time in DAL working with the staff who is paid to help you get better and has probably a better training facility than anything he'll find alone. Maybe get an Olajawon to work with him and help him learn how to act as a big man in today's NBA.
If he says "See ya in September" and disappears into Latvia, the MBT has to wonder if KP is committed enough to be that guy.
