This will be a tough loss to swallow if the Mavs don't find a way to win.

Wonder what’s going on with Green. Hasn’t looked great lately.

We don't need his skillset moving forward though, especially as both Green and Hardy get better, I fully expect Hardy to be good enough to fill that spot in the rotation by next season. We would be much better positioned replacing him with a defensive specialist.
I'd be great with that, but I won't be upset (if he continues this play off the bench) if he stays either. For sure 6th man otY candidate if he buys into the role.

Gave up 31 that quarter, only scored 20.

A little bit of each was the problem.

Best chance to win now is the Kyrie/THJ/Wood lineup

Luka with a bad quarter. Powell with a worse one.  And Kidd worst of all. So looks like we have a game.

It’s encouraging that they didn’t break. Hardaway, Wood, and Ntilikina came in and gave them a little boost. The Mavs have a couple of problem areas, but they really are a deep team.

Way too much Powell in this game.  Put h8m in at end of quarter and Davis got an easy basket.  Davis is going to attack him in the fourth.  Wood better?  Probably not much but can cause Davis problems on offense.

Luka body language is terrible.  Two good drives though.  He needs to gather his composure.  It is going to be a tight game down the stretch.

Now, Davis and LeBron have to find times to rest, and Kyrie is going to start the fourth quarter with fresh legs.

I think Kyrie missed his last 3 shots in the 3rd.  It would be nice to see him heat up a bit.

This team goes as far as Dwight Powell takes them

Giving up a 27 pt lead ain't gonna cut it.

Good defense by Wood...but not enough to impress Kidd. Powell for life!

This is a joke right?
This team has 5 NBA players. No more no less. The rest is garbage, some of them would maybe and I say maybe make it as role players in Euroleauge.

There you go, Green!

They are still getting very good shots. They will start falling again eventually.

Not even Kyrie can solve Kidd's "offense"

Hopefully Luka's focused when he gets back in the game.

Lakers’ free-throw-attempt advantage 24-9. (10-2 since the half if I counted right.) That kind of whistling can indeed flip a game.
Pessimism doesn’t make you smart, just pessimistic.

I understand we are small but how about we ease Morris in?  First action and he is playing 4th quarter minutes.  Maybe not.
