A player can have his stats taken away by a coach. A player cannot have his ATTITUDE taken away by a coach. At least not a mentally tough player.

And I think you might have the roles on the team confused. The GM team acquires "assets" and the coach tries to win with the players the GM acquires. Maybe the coach has input into the player acquisition process but that doesn't matter on the court. A coach should attempt to give his team the best possible chance to win the game - coaching to make a player an "asset" is not coaching to win.

From the very start, I have said CWood displaying the attitude of his checking out on the team is wrong. Don't confuse yourself with what is being discussed (supposedly).
It's that -------> KIDD HAS A PART ON WHY CWOOD HAS CHECKED OUT.

LOL no, on not coaching a player to be an asset. That's exactly the basic thing a coach does, not just the HC but all coaches. The work in developing rookies falls on coaches. Scouts can only do the scouting (of course) and GMs finds a way to get players. But making sure those acquired players DO NOT FALL on the GM, but the coaches has the biggest inputs on those. And this of course does not fall on rookies alone.

But..

I'm not even sure why I'm explaining things. This feels like side quest after side quest when the main topic is just you blaming CWood for his attitude and defending Kidd as if he has no part on why this has happened.
