I think that’s reasonable. Perfect, even. Less of a chance for wood to screw you with complacency, if that’s a worry, and if I’m not mistaken, that contract length lines up with some other big expiring deals, they have on the books.

Honestly, I like it.

I'm just not sure the Mavs are in a position to say words like "they are open to" with Wood.

I like the plan of 2 years, but Wood is playing great and would most likely get a better offer in FA. Wood is in the driver's seat, not the Mavs.

Collins is a downgrade at this point, but I'd take him rather than lose Wood for nothing.
