Not only does Kidd magnifies Wood's weakness on D, but he also doesn't take advantage of CWood's time on the floor.
It's clear that besides Luka, only Wood can create for himself consistently.
Kidd can make the case for THJ, but THJ creates for himself by merely shooting every time he gets it -- anyone can do that.
SD can at spurts, but it's different with Wood.
Giving the ball to Wood, you have the sense that he's going to get something.
In contrast, SD and specially THJ feels like they are hoisting hail marys.

If I were to guess based on what I'm seeing, Kidd wants Wood to be the 5th option on offense.
Luka > THJ > SD > Dorian+Bullock+Maxi camping at the 3 > Wood
So basically, --- Kidd right now: Jump shooting > Wood's play.
