yeah, I think you're on to something...most of the folks that have found the forum so far are us homers :-)
Better than having haters and Rox fans

Projected over a full season, this year’s Mavs were a 47 win team. The collective wisdom of this board and the computer models were on the money. I thought things would break their way (THJ bounce back) and they’d get to 50+. That actually did break the Mavs way, but other things (Powell and Brunson injuries) cancelled it out, so they finished exactly were they were projected.  Not bad though.  Big improvement in each of the past two seasons.  But, the sledding gets tough from here. The Mavs need a productive offseason.

Yeah wow, we nailed it.

What I find encouraging is how this team...as currently constructed...could have easily won 52-54 games.  Denver came in third in the west with a .630 winning percentage (52 games on a full schedule).  Between the slow start, the time it took for KP to figure out who he was, the time the team spent without one or more of their stars and their complete inability to win close games it isn't hard to imagine several more wins next year.

What should also be taken into account is that there were 8 teams that weren’t in the bubble that would have been tanking had they been in that 8 game schedule. That’s worth a game or 2 added on to the win total for the year IMO.

This is interesting how close we were. In my 10 game segment thread, I documented how consistent they were. However, the record was very good early. The last half of the season we only played 500 BB.

I believe if this exact team came back, we would win more games by simply getting better at end game execution. Of course, injuries determine a lot every year.

Given that we will certainly acquire someone for extra talent, that we will have Brunson and Powell back and we have two draft picks to use in some way, not to mention the MLE.....there are lots of ways to see us winning in the 55 range next year and almost no way this young and talented team regresses next year. Luka and KP alone will make sure of that.
This Reunion Rowdie says the AAC needs "Luka's Lunatics" for the Luka/KP and gang era.
