TRADE REQUEST: KD decides to remain in BRK moving forward
#21
NBACentral on Twitter: "“There are other teams in the league that can beat Phoenix’s offer of Bridges, Johnson and an Ayton sign and trade for Durant. Negations would have to start with Devin Booker. ? - @JakeLFischer on KD to PHX (h/t @AlexGoldenNBA ) https://t.co/d547bl8bJZ" / Twitter

Put me on record as one that would not trade for KD if the cost was Ayton AND Bridges.

I think Durant is just as crazy as Irving, just a different kind. How would we view his career, if he didn´t chicken out to vulture two titles in Golden State and all the blame for the drama wasn´t always placed at the feet of his team mates.

Still pisses me off that Durant and especially Anthony Davis are regularly ranked ahead of Dirk all-time. They are not better than him on their best day and they did not have a better career.

If Dirk started his career with Westbrook, Harden and Ibaka, he´d have made this work and won five rings.

Color me skeptical that there are teams that could beat an offer of Ayton, Bridges and Cam and a pick or two. Always injured Zion+ Stuff? Is Bam and Herro and crappy Miami picks better? Jaylen Brown, Robert Williams, White and picks? Durant also has to sign off. He’s not going to Minnesota. Not going to Denver.

Just when it looked like Miami and Phoenix(two of my most hated franchise along with LAC and LAL) had topped out with their current cores. One of them will most likely get gifted Durant. Unbelievable. No guarantee they win it with him, just like Brklyn didn’t. Still queas inducing.

I´m the Nets, I´m calling their bluff.

I think this is just KD trying to get his best friend Irving a long-term extension, after the "Oh I´m leaving in free agency" and the "Opt-in and now trade me" failed. We are now at the final escalation stages.

No team in the league can offer any reasonable package to acquire both these two divas combined. So if they still want to play together, Brooklyn is the only place.

Also it´s very telling of Irving´s character that he doesn´t even trust himself to perform and behave during a contract year; after which the Nets would likely give him that extension.

Not to mention that the Nets fired Atkinson (who I love and wanted the Mavs to hire as coach)and kow towed to every whim of KD and Kyrie including shipping off Allen and their young core they’d developed and tons of picks. And now after it didn’t work out he gets to dictate his landing spot, at least to some extent. Because he will. I wish some brave owners/GMs would stand up to these brats and sit them or ship them to Sacramento sometime. Philly tried to do that with Ben and he still got BK. Harden played fatball and got Brooklyn and then Philly. Just kind of sick of this shit. Silver won’t do anything though because it’s good for the bottom line. Miami can tamper but Milwaukee gets a first round pick taken for Bogdonovic. They won the championship in spite of it, but still. NYK are openly, obviously tampering with Jalen. I’d stop watching if I didn’t love the Mavs and NBA ball so much. For me, there’s just no way to replace it after 45 yrs of fandom. It’s like a long running telenovela that I know is absurd but I can’t stop watching.

KD, a superstar with 2 rings and 2 Finals MVPs, and 4 years left on his contract in BRK, demanded a trade.

How long will Luka wait to be a champion? Don't hold your breath waiting for Luka to be UFA. That trade demand could come A LOT EARLIER.

Cuban will run down Luka´s contract and try to start extension talks on July 1st after Luka has publically requested a trade for two years.

That´s the error in judgment Luka made. Other owners are reasonable and will recoup a young stud + five or six first round picks eventually, but what if your owner doesn´t believe in draft picks? He´ll be here until 2025 or 2026. Does he have a player option?

What kind of “round” does the world go in Kyrie?
