Come on LeBron KD, but your Mavericks Jersey on, you got to come to Dallas.

Bertans + Dinwiddie is a legal trade according to NBA trade machine

Well we're not even close to being an option here unfortunately.

A crappy source has put out Mikal Bridges + Ayton as the starting point from PHX. That's probably what it takes and then a ton of picks on top.

Only in the NBA do you get craziness like this. Gotta love it.

That's why today is one of my favorite times of the year.  Half of the reason I love the NBA is because of the storylines, trades, rumors, etc and it all culminates on this day of the season.

If I am Brooklyn I have no interest in pairing Ayton and Simmons together.  Just seems like a terrible fit.

A guy like Myles Turner might fit though and there has at least been a bit of Pacers/Ayton smoke.

A front court of Turner, Simmons, Bridges might be the best defensive front court in the NBA and the absolute haul of picks they could get out of a KD deal (and a much lesser extent shipping Kyrie out west for Russ and a pick or two) would give them a chance to build out a backcourt and still be a pretty decent team in a couple of years.

That "Super Team" turned out to be a colossal failure, but with the right moves BRK could come out with a decent roster.

Doesn't New Orleans have a lot of picks from the Davis trade?  Ingram + whatever + picks for KD?

What kind of crazy is Durant on the Irving scale.

I hate to open this can of worms again because people hate it, and it's definitely not happening, but...

...the asset the Mavs might be able to afford on a bargain from this fallout isn't KD or Irving. It might be Ben Simmons. If not, I'd settle for a Claxton, who will be a household name as a prototypical modern 5 in a couple of years.

Then again, maybe the Mavs are simply not very smart.

Hmm good idea but how about just for Zion + filler? Pelicans were already pretty good without him. And he is a pretty big risk himself, Zion always wanted to be in the NY market anyways.

Polar opposites.  Durant just catches feelings on Social Media.  Kyrie leads the flat earth revolution.

Let’s be honest. This IS the real reason. As soon as Kyrie opted back in KD knew it was time to leave.  You can’t blame him. How many basket cases does he have to handle?

Oh great. Now there are two high profile FAs that MC can fantasize about and waste time chasing his tail while the real players are snapped up.

Except they're not FAs. You got to trade for them, which is likely going to turn free agency into a mess over the next few days...
