2021 FREE AGENCY: Markkanen wants out of CHI | DAL "definitely interested"

The Toronto Raptors, New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons, and Sacramento Kings are all expected to pursue Nerlens Noel in free agency, league sources told HoopsHype.
Toronto has several centers on their free agency radar, including Jarrett Allen, Richaun Holmes, and Noel. Aron Baynes’ $7.35 million salary is non-guaranteed for next season, as noted on our Raptors salary page, and Khem Birch is also an unrestricted free agent.
Should Nerlens join the Pistons, he’d be reunited with former Sixers teammate Jerami Grant, one of his close friends. Following the trade of Mason Plumlee to the Hornets, the Pistons will look to the market for a replacement.
Sacramento’s interest in Noel will be affected by what happens with their own free-agent center, Richaun Holmes, as previously noted on the HoopsHype podcast.

Watching Portis after the finals talking about how grateful he was to the Bucks, I just never got the impression he would leave if given a fair contract.

I didn't think Portis would be a target for the Mavs this offseason, but he is a good example of the type of player/$ we need.   Portis signed for around 3 million last year.  I would love to find a veteran with his similar skill set at PF.   It would do wonders.

Stephen A. Smith, on @SiriusXMNBA, says that although Dame Lillard has not yet demanded a trade, Smith knows "for a fact" that if Dame were to be traded, New York "would be his number 1 destination," adding "I'm telling you what I know. I'm not guessing."

Follow up:

Smith explains that Lillard believes "in the New York market, unlike in Portland, it would be considerably easier for him to pull off getting guys to want to come to play with him... guys like a Jayson Tatum down the line, like a Joel Embiid down the line, guys like that."
