Nico is not done yet, folks. The next one is the centerpiece of the offseason. Big.

Actually it was just a question, that you didnt answer. Its obvious past years have been pathetic. Everyone agrees with that.

1) Because its coming in a trade.

OR

2) Nico's priorities now overrule Cuban's desires.

Another question. If the Mavs pull of a trade and take back some salary (lets say Dragic for Powell and WCS). Will they even use the TPE or is Cuban reaching the point where he is getting concerned about the money? We already had a similar situation with the Barnes TPE a few years ago. Turned the remaining capspace (9-10m) into the TPE and never used it.

My guess is we will send Powell, WCS and Terry to Toronto for Dragic.  He will run the second unit and finish with the starters (somewhat marginalizing Brunson who will probably walk next year for nothing).  My guess is they sit on the TPE and let it turn to dust as that is what this team does with TPEs.  That will be it.  Not inspiring.

I really hope this is the last time capspace is even an option while Luka is here
Open up that pocket, Cubes
Bullock seems to indicate a bit of a transition. I don't think that's a guy we would have given a multi-year deal to over the past couple summers

But, it's super interesting that Cuban's mission statement was to add a playmaker and that's the one thing we all agree they haven't accomplished yet.

I am referring specifically to the starting lineup.  Either THJ is starting, or we just spend over 18 mil on a bench player.  It looks to me like we are swapping out Maxi/JRich for THJ/Bullock.  Better offensively, but definitely an overall downgrade defensively.

I think they are just hashing out parameters on the Dragic trade.  There are not many other options.  DeRozan trade is the only thing I can imagine.  There is a part of me that would be interested.  He would definitely take some pressure off Luka, and may even let play less minutes in the regular season.

I agree with you that THJ is almost certainly a starter, but I think Bullock pushes DFS to the bench, not Maxi.

Yeah, I meant to add "barring further changes".

We shall see, but I doubt it.  Maxi was overtaxed as a starter and DFS is a better player.  Its possible it will be matchup dependent, but I would expect to see DFS as our starting power forward this year unless something significant changes.

Can’t see it. All 3 start with Luka and KP, if no further moves are made. But further moves are a comin.
