Does he get credit for that when we already had relationship with Seth?

I don't know does he?

They still listened to Voulgaris and signed him. I don't know why we're giving this guy that much power in the first place.

Just taking the article at face value he's the dude behind the:
Curry signing
Wright trade
2020 draft

2/3 of those are terrible moves. Add in the fact he's the one behind RC's inane rotations and he irritates Luka makes me sick. How does this guy have a job?

Hopefully someone is getting this out there to change that fact...

If Luka doesn't approve then that person should be looking for a job, simple as that.

Annnnnndddddd Cuban already refuted it on Twitter.

This all feels less than ideal.

What makes me crazy is he's causing rifts with Luka and with the Donnie/Cuban, and that Cuban gave this much power to him. If he's a great numbers guy then let him feed ideas to the basketball people and let them use the info to make their decisions. Don't let him take over.

The Voulgaris angle is new info that we didnt know but this just confirms what most of us already knew:  Cuban needs to step away from the front office and hand the reigns over to one competent basketball person.  This is starting to smell like Jerry Jones and the Cowboys.

Really bad time for his ego to show as we need to be catering to the one who is selling tickets right now.

Ding ding ding ding ding. This is not rocket science. Mavs fandom should ride Cuban until he fires the guy, plain and simple. He's obviously too stupid and stubborn to do it on his own.

I honestly think it would be good for both DAL and RC to part ways.

RC needs a new start IMO and I mentioned that he felt "checked out" at different points this season to me.

DAL/Cuban needs a wake up call like having his pet coach walk to greener pastures.

You really want to roll the dice on whom they would hire as a new coach? Their deliberation process would likely incorporate a dart board.

Again, I hope it would be a WAKE UP call and cause Cuban to stop and reflect for more than a minute or two.

The problem would not be throwing a dart, which likely yields better results than Cuban making an "educated" decision ever could. The problem would be who puts all the names on the dart board? Huh

Houston fans say Silas and Luka were super-tight. Maybe him and JJB leaving are a large reason for the alleged problems between Luka and Carlisle? They were the buffer between the two volcanos? Much like Stotts/Casey and the others veterans, when it came to Kidd/Carlisle.

So they're citing Jake Fischer from Bleacher Report as the source.

Jake Fischer was also the first guy to report the Mavs were exploring KP trades with GSW and WAS.

I don't really trust Jake Fischer in having any reliable insider Mavs knowledge, so this sounds just as bogus as the Mavs trading KP at the deadline this year.

Again, I believe him to very legit as a reporter.

This story makes me doubt Fischer - what's his track record? Cubes and Rick dispute the Bucks rumor about as absolutely as you could possibly dismiss a rumor.

I don't know why. The guy hasn't broken any sort of news before anyone and seems to be a cog in the BR headlines generator machine.

Before Bleacher Report he worked at Sports Illustrated writing hard hitting pieces about fruit smoothies:
https://www.si.com/nba/2019/03/21/brookl...-smoothies

Every single one of his stories hint at a huge blockbuster move in the league but he never provides concrete evidence other than "Anonymous sources say" or "Rival Execs expect"

Like here's this one: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2935...e-deadline

Rival Execs expect a huge fire sale from HOU this years trade deadline. What happened? 2 trades. 1 minor one for Tucker. 1 medium one for Oladipo. Which by the way were the two most talked players of HOU about getting moved and was confirmed by Woj and Shams. But Fischer took it a step further and said his sources were saying HOU is going to open the flood gates and trade "Danuel House Jr. Ben Mclemore, Brown, Tate"

The rest of the article is him just parroting what Woj said about the Heat being prime suitors for Oladipo (Which he reported before anyone).

Fischer has no credibility currently for any team. Especially not for one like the Mavs who historically has been one of the hardest teams to get a read on.

Too bad these offensive skills don't translate to real NBA games.

What if the Mavs say stuff it and bring in Dantoni as head coach to run the offence.
Seems like he would be able to utilise Luka to the fullest, just need good defensive minded assistants.
At least it would be entertaining  Big Grin
