Kind of fun watching a legend being born right in front of us.

Per Tom Haberstroh on Twitter:

Luka Doncic scored 39 points in the Gm 2 win.
Watching the film, he got a bucket on *eight* different Clippers defenders.

He's into Complex Analysis. He likes you Probability and Statistics guys but leaves that math up to you.

That joke was bad. It didn't make sense. I apologize for that joke.

I will go find my cone of shame

I hope this team comes out and is still extremely motivated to put their boots on the Clips neck.

I remember back in 2011 a certain Mavs team going up 2-0 to POR feeling good, and then before you know it the series was tied 2-2.

Mavs need to close it out and cannot be happy with just 2 wins.

One smallish thing I'm excited to see in Game 3: Who will Zubac start the game guarding?

Game 1: DFS, who goes off shooting.
Game 2: Kleber, who has a great start, offensively.

Game 3: KP? I would LOVE to see what Carlisle, Luka and KP can do with that, if it happens.

Man, I'm still nervous.

Outside of a few, most of the national people I follow are still not counting the Clippers out of this series, and most are still viewing the series through the lens of "when will the Clippers start playing?"

I can't decide if I think the Clippers are all sizzle, no steak, and the Mavs are just better, or if the other shoe is about to drop on them hard.

Interesting that fivethirtyeight.com only has Mavs at 56% chance of winning the series, even though they're up 2-0.

It's like 2011 all over again.

Yes, very.

I don't understand gambling very much, but could this be a response to all the money pouring in on the Mavericks? I read somewhere around here that they're the second most popular bet right now.

That take doesn't quite makes sense to me.

I can understand "when are the Mavs' shooters going to cool off", or "when are the Clippers going to figure some things out defensively", or "when is Lue going to try something different", or "when are the Clippers going to try to bully the Mavs a bit like they did last year", or "when are they going to try going small", but not "when are they going to start playing".

They scored over 70 points in the first half of the last game and were scrambling around on defense like crazy. The Mavs withstood their effort, their playing, and punched back.

I don't normally quote Mark Cuban in order to make a basektball point, but one time he was on that awful Skip and Scream'n A show and he called them out for blaming everything on effort. "LeBron didn't have the intensity in 2011...". Cuban told them that they blamed everything on intensity or effort because they didn't understand what was going on schematically. I think Mark was actually right about that!

"When are the Clippers going to start plaing?" It's just talk, not actually basekteball talk.
