For the play in games.
It will get scrapped pretty quickly if the Lakers fell to 7th and lost to Portland and GSW to miss the playoffs.

It will be almost impossible for Memphis to get to 6th. Both LAL and DAL have tie-breaker over them, and Grizz are 2-3 games back in the loss column too. Only about 12 to play.

With the way the Mavs keep putting up crap games against what should be easier teams, it's surely hard to think the Mavs are safe from being caught by anyone.

Maybe. I think he hates CLE even more. He was brought there to be the 3rd star with LeBron and Kyrie to win titles for CLE. Then Kyrie left, then LeBron left and now he's stuck in basketball hell. Although 4 x $30MM with an SI swimsuit model wife is hard to call stuck.

They can't worry about the Blazers. They need to focus on themselves, and Detroit whose up next. Blazers hold the tiebreaker in the season series though.

Big game tonight Blazers vs. Memphis. If POR loses then the Mavs gain just a little more breathing room.

Hopefully Memphis kicks their butt.

Memphis is only 2 1/2 games behind the Mavs and they have the easiest schedule in the league (remaining SOS). Honestly think that they are more likely to challenge the Mavs for the 6th seed.

Also Lakers vs Washington. Mavs could come within one if Lakers lose and Mavs win against Detroit. We have to maximize those non LeBron days Smile
