Because of the special COVID situation, the aggregation rules were modified for this year. You used to have to wait 2 months after trading for a player before you could aggregate him in another deal, but (I believe) it's just 19 days now. Since that has already passed, Johnson can be packaged in a deal at any time. FWIW, TradeNBA included a note about that for deals including Johnson up until the limitation expired just recently.

I was on here campaigning hard for Christian Wood. Would have been a huge pickup for us. I think he could have been our starting power forward actually.

SILAS WANTS POWELL. Tuck for Powell, it's happening ya'll!!111

If any locker room could use Powell, it's the Rockets.  And Silas knows what he'd bring from a leadership standpoint.

*thinking*

Interesting point. If there's one team in the league who REALLY needs a positive culture injection, it's the Rockets. And Silas certainly might have a soft spot for some of the Mavs players on that front. While a Harden deal seems really unlikely on a lot of levels, I could definitely believe Dallas and Houston might talk about other types of potential deals.

Sixers fans not that happy with Curry so far. They have found their own version of preseason Dwight Powell  Big Grin

"Curry really airballed a 3 lol. Only we could make the statically best 3pt shooter of all time miss every shot"

"Seth getting physically overwhelmed is something to keep an eye on"

"Maxey is better than Curry already"

"Pretty apparent already you can't play Curry and Green together. I hope to god it doesn't take Rivers months to figure out simple stuff like this as it did for Brett"

"shake gonna take curry's spot pretty soon"

"I swear, Curry looks like the 13 year old playing against men at the YMCA."

"Curry coming here and Jason Kapono-ing is not a surprise"

The Rick and Luka effect

The one thing about Luka's game that people miss is how he passes the ball to a guys shot pocket. Ben Simmons is good but his offensive limitations appears to have Seth as well.

All I see is a brand new opportunity next summer to reacquire Seth for WCS. Make it so.

I was watching him some the other day and I definitely think their starting 5 makes more sense but Curry is going to still be in a tough spot for now as Rich was before. They are both good shooters who can do some playmaking. Curry isn't going to get you 20 points every night though.

I know Morey said they aren't trading Ben Simmons but then you also her Shams report that they would include Simmons. A Sixers team with Harden makes a lot more sense to me than Simmons.

I'd love to have Curry back be he is so valuable there will be teams lined up to get him if he ever becomes available. He still has 2 years at 8 mil after this year.

In the timeline where Noel simply signed the $70mm contract Happy Walters had negotiated instead of listening to voices like Rich Paul who convinced him he's a max player, he'd be collecting nearly $20mm this season in the final year of that deal. That would make him the second-highest paid player in Dallas.

Wow, did the Mavs get lucky.  Wonder how things would of turned out if he would of took the deal?

Hopefully he would have still been playing in New York just getting paid 10 times the money.

To some degree he'd be a typical mavs reclamation project type of player, but given the already loked roster, this isn't probably happening this time around.

Imagine a core of DSJ, Harrison Barnes, Wendell Carter, and Noel.  I get anxiety just thinking about it.
