I just want to repeat it, ads on jerseys is sacrilegious and I can't believe Adam Silver allows it. Fuck off with the ads. NBA did JUST fine without it for nearly 70 years

I'm pretty much the same way, but salaries have really gotten out of hand. They're having to look at other ways to make a buck. Can't sell tickets for a while. Have you checked out the price of gear with logos? I was looking at the new t-shirts the styles of that new uni. A plain t-shirt with that logo, $35. Not sure if I need one that bad.

This has probably already been posted, but just in case someone missed it I'm throwing it up here again.

There is so much gold in this interview. So many clues as to how the team is approaching the early season rotation. Coach Carlisle has been extra candid lately, imo. This is a must watch.

However it looks like he will be mostly out of regular rotation at the season start, as RC named Terry, Hinton, Bey, Gillespie and Patterson as members of third unit at practice. Of course I would expect all players will get significant minutes at some point due to load management, injuries, covid etc.

I see why the NBA might find them necessary now given all the setbacks the last year and a half from COVID to the Morey China debacle. In any case, Silver started allowing the ads circa 2016 if I remember right, right when the league was peaking revenue wise. Silver was looking for yet another way to make a buck regardless if it cheapened the product.

I really do wish he would step down. Worst commissioner in any sport.

I don't think there's anything surprising about that, RC wouldn't hand a rotation spot to a second round pick sight unseen. I'm sure he'll have his chance to break into it, though.
