DAL OFFSEASON: Trade & FA | Mavs "mostly done...but you never know."
So either his source isn't really good at math or there is more to come. Busting my head what it could mean Smile Two for one trade? Release someone (I hope not)? Move Terry to 2-way?

Combo forward via trade seems the most likely move based on roster needs at this point. I don't think we are done because roster is a little light unless you believe Josh Green and Iwundu are taking all your backup wing minutes completely. Seems like a bit of an ask. And I realize you'll stagger Richardson, THJ and DFS on the bench. But those all can be staggered at the 2 as well where they need to be (at least for first 2 guys). But you still need something more IMO.

Has to be either Brunson getting traded or Terry being a 2-way which would seem to contradict earlier reports that Mavs had 2-way spots filled.

Well...Terry isn't on a guaranteed roster spot, technically, and they're allowed to invite 20 to camp. Could we see one more signing with someone unexpected having to compete to make the team?

Terry will need a contract though and seems like reports were that he would have that active roster spot.

Went and looked on magic reddit about iwundu and some mavs fan already was asking about him. This is what one guy had to say with links.

He’s a dog. Fighter. Won’t back down. Great grit and will do anything for the team. Not afraid to dive after a loose ball, standup for a teammate and get a tech, risk his body and end up with stitches.
Good defender and rebounder. Offensive game has improved over the years. Shot under 20% from three as a rookie and I believe was over 34% the last two seasons. Can also drive strong to the rim.
I was disappointed we didn’t bring him back. He’s not a franchise changer but he is someone every team needs, especially a quality roster like yours. He’s also still relatively young and I believe his best is yet to come. Take care of him!

Two more (sorry)
Like I said: Won’t back down. Garbage time, team down big, Thanasis tries to add insult to injury with a big slam, Wes doesn’t let him just waltz into the paint and have his way.

Of course, Thanasis dunked on him unfortunately but it shows Wes isn’t gonna roll over. Then the little shove for good measure. Wink

Finally: Orlando public enemy #1 Dwight Howard comes in throwing ‘bows in the paint (as he’s done for sixteen years) at his teammates and Wes doesn’t stand for it:

That’s our guy Wes. Smile

I agree...just grasping at straws here. That could be the "open roster spot" his source is talking about. Or maybe it's just incorrect about Barea, or there's a trade coming and Brad misunderstood. Interesting.

Brunson is the likeliest candidate to get moved unless it's Boban. Boban seems like a guy teams would want so you could probably easily move him for a player or space and then sign a center you like better.

We all love Boban but Rick was really weird with his minutes. I thought we turned a corner in the playoffs but that was also due in part to KP's injury. I wonder if Rick wants someone who isn't a gimmick in that spot.

Maybe they trading Powell+THJ for Batum afterall.

So the way I interpret Brad is that someone on the roster now will be moved. I don't think this is confusion over the 2-way spots. Certainly Terry could be the other 2-way but I imagine Mavs would want to give him a longer deal since he has so much upside. I am betting Brunson or Boban are getting moved.

Orlando passed on QO which would have made Iwundu RFA.  Seems like someone to babysit and take pressure off of Green.  Why not?

Holy crap I didn't even think about Powell. Now there's a guy we would love to dump holy cow. And I love Powell as a dude and maybe even a player but that achilles injury is terrible.

Well, if they're moving Powell, they DEFINITELY need a big back in return.

I'm a Powell fan, and even I'm getting a little worried about counting on him this much early.

I love that the Mavs are slowly but surely inching towards becoming a "prison rules" team.

Hey guys do you remember that time Ainge was being a greedy SOB and wanting more than Myles turner for Hayward who was a free agent?

And then he got nothing?

I remember. Good times.

Teague and Thompson as the replacements just makes me laugh at it even more.

They could be moving one of these guys just to free up a spot. That is to say Brunson could be moved for a pick, Boban could be moved for nothing or even bought out. Powell could be moved for nothing in theory. There are a lot of dumb teams in this league so anything is possible1!1

Here´s a quick analysis from a Knicks blog suggesting Wes to sign there. Interesting clips, he can do stuff with the ball.
