Yeah, JJB will be mostly a bench coach just like last season. As a 15th man, there's nothing wrong with that.
I'm guessing the next move will be a backup big, with decent odds of WCS coming back on a bigger 1-year deal.

I'm fine with Barea as the 15th man. His one job should be teaching Terry how to take a charge.

Kings definitely going to Kings. Like trade away their 27 year old SG for spare parts to the Bucks but announce the trade too early and get fined for tampering.
But they definitely aren't ever going to gift and actively help their most hated rival in the history of the franchise. It'd be like us going out of our way to give the Spurs Josh Richardson for Rudy Gay and Marco Bellinelli

What will New York do with all its cap space??? Hayward and Bogi are the only significant salary free agents left and Hayward will likely go to no cap team.
After all the moves even OKC has plenty of cap left and looks like Presti will be competing for yet more picks by selling cap space to teams deep in tax. GSW and Nets have huge tax bills coming and some players might be on the move.

Man, this Hayward thing is fascinating, isn't it?
Are you prepared to call it for Indiana? I'm not yet, I don't think. I think dude wants to get PAID, but even if Indiana thinks he's worth the money, there's just a point where the number gets too big to make a sign and trade sane. I know people are assuming that Turner or maybe even Oladipo will be involved, and while that's possible (I'm sure Boston fans would be thrilled) I just can't see that happening. Sign and trades don't usually go for that kind of value, and I legit can't see why Indiana would think that's a good idea.
If I'm right, then I think Hayward's NY and Indiana offers might be VERY far apart, financially. I could be way off. I'm fascinated to see how it pans out.

NYK was linked to Hayward. I don't see them going after Bogi unless they want to cannibalize RJ Barrett's development.
NYK is in desperate need for a point guard, they're stuck with Franky smokes and whatever's left with DSJ right now. With VanVleet gone, and seemingly only Rondo left, I think the Knicks round out their roster with a big 25 mil deal to Rondo and a 100 mill deal to Hayward.

If I'm NY with that space and I DON'T get my plan A to work out, I start absorbing problem contracts in exchange for draft capital, just like Presti has been doing. I think that if we see that approach it might be an indication that they've set out on a better path as a franchise. If they just find this year's version of Randle, then Knicks gonna Knick, imo.

NYK is in desperate need for a point guard, they're stuck with Elfrid Payton and whatever's left with DSJ right now. With VanVleet gone, and seemingly only Rondo left, I think the Knicks round out their roster with a big 25 mil deal to Rondo and a 100 mill deal to Hayward.
They actually cut Payton, their PG are Smokes and DSJ.
Detroit was the only one that spend cap space, on the other hand OKC created it. I think this are rough figures of cap space remaining: NY: 40 mil, Atl: 25 mil, Cha: 15 mil and OKC: 20 mil.

Yeah I meant Smokes. Don't know why I put Payton.

Hornets might be in the running with the Knicks for worst front office. Had they learned NOTHING from the Batum signing??
