DAL OFFSEASON: Trade & FA | Mavs "mostly done...but you never know."
Athletic saying Bogi meeting with the Lakers and Hawks. Wonder if they are trying to convince him to sign for the MLE.

Otherwise a KCP S & T ? Kuzma to Kings as well?

Quote:Bogdanovic and his representation are expected to take meetings when it’s allowed this afternoon/evening, with Atlanta and the Lakers known to be among the suitors.

How would the Lakers get in on this? They don't have salaries to match Bog.

See, to me, if the Mavs are after this dude, then this is part of the reasoning. I actually asked something about Giannis's connection to this dude yesterday and nobody responded.

The thing is, I can't decide if I think it's smart or stupid.

I'm not sure if the Mavs named not being mentioned is a good or bad sign for the camp of poster here that want Bogi. haha

Hey, for the record, guys, I'll be all in if they do it. He appears to be almost as polarizing as Wood, nationally. Some love him, some think he's a joke.

He doesn't have flame out potential like Wood so he'd be much safer.  Wood has the higher upside but I just have no idea what I want to pay him.

How's his defense?

Bogi is restricted. So Sacramento would happily accept a MLE offer. I would think KCP or Bradley SnT is in play, together with Kuzma

I am in camp so far they did a great job and finally showed some interest in the draft. Please don´t screw it up and add one of the guys from the "no" list.
Use the MLE. See what Wright/Powell/Jackson and a combination of picks can net. Add some vet mins. Don´t touch the core.

I answered. I read it a couple of times that they are friends, never heard it before. Guess KP and Giannis are also friends, otherwise you dont play in a streetball tournament in Athen during your vacation. Was 4 years ago, but still.

If the Lakers are offering the MLE, just counter with the MLE yourself. Luka vs. Lebron. Not sure how close Bogi is to Luka, but they are also "friends".

Bogi's Defensive On/Off the last two seasons was -0.9 and +0.7. I would probably rate him as a slight negative overall on D, but I think he is an improvement over THJ.

I am 99% sure Giannis is signing the Supermax. He is using some leverage right now to make sure the Bucks get him good players. They goofed up last year but the Holiday trade was huge. They can probably add a smaller piece or two. I think he would rather win there than bolt somewhere else, all things considered. I would not make moves in anticipation of Giannis. If he doesn't sign his Supermax, Mavs could easily maneuver to get the space they'd need and still have a good roster.

Can you fit a max Luka, max KP, Supermax Giannis (probably) and 18m Bogi in the salary cap. They all might be friends with Bogi, but Bogi would be the guy you send to the Bucks as compensation for parting with Giannis should he demand a trade. I guess that's a long way of saying I'm not sure the friend angle is all that important here.

There's no way Bogi does MLE, that would be nuts. He can easily get 15+/yr.

Yup.  Was thinking 3+1 starting at 15>17->19->21 (PO)

Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...

I'm sorry if the Lakers get Bogdon after opening an investigation into Milwaukee after not much more than a slap on the wrist in the past for the Lakers, they need to burn this down.

I bet Celts will get Turner and Dipo for Hayward. That would be very Celtics, they always win the offseason.

Turner for Hayward definitely seems like the best bet right now. Makes a lot of sense for both teams.

Is there a 3 team trade option where Hayward ends in IND, Turner in DAL, and Vic in BOS? There are very few players I would consider (at this moment) trading the 2027 first rounder for, but I think Turner is one of them considering his current deal is pretty team friendly.
