I think Šarūnas Jasikevičius was a case of a player, whose passing was too clever for his unfamiliar teammates and it cut his NBA career short. The Wolves also beat some of the creativity out of Rubio. If he wasn´t such a good defender, he´s probably be out of the NBA as well due to the "superstar in Europe" vs. "also-ran in the NBA"-dynamics.(08-08-2020, 10:43 PM)Tyler Wrote: https://twitter.com/NBA/status/1292303629458841601The skill and confidence to even attempt that pass! Kudos for Kleber to just go to the rim no matter how the ball arrives.

Assuming he isn't used as trade bait, DFS will be officially safe as a starter for next season. Go get Jerian Grant and pair him with DFS in lineups and our defense might have a chance in the future with the versatility.

Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...

Beautiful offensive display. I liked guys were cutting in with Luka drive, not just stand around the three point line. And there were still some reserves as KP went cold in the second half. DFS was excellent on both sides. Really played great defense on Giannis - surprisingly Kleber had no chance. I guess Milwaukee didn't watch Mavs films as they didn't run a lot of PnR. Would have worked much better for them than Giannis ISO. Giannis is the best in fastbreak, unstoppable. Otherwise he is not a point guard and offense shouldn't run through him. I think they will be exposed in playoffs again.
THJ and Curry are just not feeling it. I hope they get it together. The only way to keep Curry in is if he is a lights out shooter. He will be exposed badly defensively. We just don't have any alternative for THJ.

On the other side of the game, MIL played a very poor defense on Doncic. Clippers were way more physical and didn't let him go to the rim that much. Not sure Bucks make out of the East when teams direct their defense into Giannis and make Middleton/Bledsoe beat you.

All the Bucks have is a professional con artist. I was taking pleasure in Luka shredding him to pieces. He´s not suddenly a good defender again. He´s just playing with Bledsoe, Hill, Middleton, Giannis and Lopez. My plus minus stats would look like I´m an NBA level defender next to those guys. His PER is 8.16, but we all know he´s a professional BS artist always talking about the team and more effort. Let´s hope we sign Giannis before they realize how much their team would improve, if they gave all his minutes to DiVincenzo and Connaughton.
