SL Game 2: Dallas Mavericks vs. Los Angeles Lakers | 9:00PM CST | ESPN
I still believe in Sergio, but goodness gracious, bring back Shamgodd and fix that ridiculous handle.

As others have said, is hard to draw many conclusions with all the fouls, absolutely zero flow to the game.

Despite that I still liked what I saw from Rez and Larry.

PaulBrickAThreeus is literally terrible when he does anything but jack up a shot. And he is also pretty terrible when he jack's up a shot.

The Russian kid isn't going to make a living in the NBA passing up 3 pointers and driving into a bunch of trees who have 2-4x his vertical.

Larry is uncomfortable playing street ball. He is used to a system and without one, he gets out of sorts. Played well in the beginning and then completely unraveled as his team unraveled.

Nemhard showing zero leadership qualities.

I'm going to give Morez a pass on this one because he had zero support on the court.

Well, look on the bright side - it solves our two-way crunch!!!

Didn't catch the game.  Did Lawal look like he's ever been on a basketball court tonight?

1. I need Sergio to be more aggressive. I see so much potential in him but 5 points with only 4 shot attempts in 28 mins? 0 points in the second half? That's pretty crazy. Is he scared lol

2. Rez was decent,I'm not worried about him

3. Nembhard ain't it

4. Im concerned about my guy John Poulakidas's spot on the roster. He hasn't looked good at all

5. Really rough game by the Mavs with some terrible officiating smh

One word sums this up: Sh*t.

That Kamala guy destroyed us, he reminds me Naz Reid... Or maybe just one of those night.

Rez played solid, steal and block are there.
Soft touch.
Not a great rebounder but play with Lawal is hard. He is a mistery box.

Sergio solid too.
This is not his basketball, he needs organization and a system.
Probably i would like to see him more aggressive, he plays for the team.
Defense is good. Size is awesome.

Nembhard not so good again.
It's time to give up on him probably, a second year who play those 2 SL games is a problem.
He is not a floor general and i don't see him as spark from the bench (as JJ barea).
No role in NBA. 3rd string PG.
Garbage time.

Ish is another mistery box. He needs time.

For sure we all expect a different level from those roster.
Luckily it's just SL.

A couple of times...not really. I thought he was better than he was in game one.

We need Tarik in this SL, no 3s for us.

You are right, but i love watch basketball games and i love to see Mavs win.

Of course SL games don't matter but there is a topic so...

Morez looks like he needs to learn how to challenge shots vertically instead of reaching in. He's pretty raw defensively at being a rim protector.

Sorry if this has been posted, but does anyone know why Cameron Carr wasn't playing for the Lakers?

Brutal game for us. Wish Sergio would shoot it more, prefer that to watching Nemby jack up a bunch of shots.

Unfortunately he won’t be able to shoot from NBA three point range according to Forrest Gump, so don’t get your hopes up!

Shit game, they completely crumbled quarter by quarter…

Time to move on from Ryan...

He had a whole year with the Mavs, and this is what you're gonna do? A good PG reigns in the team in the second half and gets everyone groovin'.

Shut him down and let Sergio run it for the rest of the league.

I watched some.  Not all.   It was really tough with the officiating.  I try not to take anything from summer league as I have been tricked many times before.

I agree the Nembhard's play is not ideal.  He does need to show he can score and keep defenses honest, but if there is one guy in summer league who I think would get others involved it is Nemby.  He did it in high school on loaded teams, 4 years in college and one year in the NBA.  It is what he does.  So it is was strange to see last night where Morez gets no shots early, John P gets no open looks and Sergio goes without any shots.   Nemby did try some alley oops that were unsuccessful but just weird how he got no one going.    Him playing summer league was suppose to allow others to show what they could do.   It hasn't happened in two games.

Lawal looks the part running and jumping.  Everything else is a question mark.   Ok with him giving him a two way.  He is the type of guy you want to gamble on.  With the expectation that it is a long shot of anything happening.

I think the Russian is best overseas in a better league.  He does not look over his head in summer league but it is a long way from real nba.  I think the best development now for him is Europe rather than the NBA G league.  I don't think the G league is best for development.

By far the biggest disappointment for the non Mavs guys is Jaden Springer.  Former first round pick.  Only 23 and was billed when he entered the draft as a younger prospect as one of the "good" guys.   He looks like he has no interest being out there.    Really slow to the ball and not interested in playing defense.   Just really strange for a guy hanging on by a thread or trying to interest teams overseas.  Whatever he is doing, it is not right.
