Lol, neither the coin flip nor the lottery have taken place yet.

I doubt the NBA has any intention to give us another top 4 pick. Maybe the lottery is legit this year and we move up genuinely, but nobody will ever convince me last year was not an audible. Just imagine this last season with Khaman Maluach instead of Cooper Flagg. It would have turned into a complete year long PR disaster for the NBA. This situation was as explosive as the Brawl at the Palace on cocaine.

It did not even calm down until Nico was fired.

You have to see that the Jazz getting #1 would be the complete opposite of an NBA conspiracy. The league went out of their way to publicly chastise Utah. You think they want to reward them?  If the Jazz win it will be total confirmation that tanking works. IF...IF there's a grand cabal of lottery interference the league will want to either reward teams that DIDN'T tank like the Mavs or Kings, or for there to be a financial interest (big markets or teams going on sale).

The lottery gods have their hands full this offseason.   Not a lot of worthy candidates for the Gods to reward.    

I am just hoping Mavs stay top 8.    Sure, I want to be higher, but I just don't want to be 9 or 10.

If the Mavs get #1 this year the best part about it will be that the conspiracy theorist from Re: last year will be thorough debunked. Then they can go take a math class and join the rest of 21st century civilization.

Duke’s big man Pat N going back to school. First surprise for me. Probably a late first round pick. He has leg injuries so he could have slipped. Thought he would be in the draft and hopefully drafted before 30.

Mavs lost.

They really needed that Lakers game. Lakers have won every game without Luka/Reeves, including the 1st game of the play-offs, except to the Mavs and Thunder 2x. If you f***** wanted to act like you are on the Thunder´s level, you should have kept Luka and won the title last year. One unnecessary win shaved off nearly 10% of our top 4 odds. It´s so easy to hate this front office.

Also Suns won their three-way tie, which means 2nd round picks are reversed and Mavs get the worst (48th) pick from Phoenix.

My first "post flip" spin on Tankathon both the Mavs and Kings got top 4 picks.  The coin flip sucks, but Mother's Day is when we all get lucky...um...err...you know I mean, right???

Well that is disappointing. Doesn’t change the odds much in moving up, but makes 9-10 much more likely. We will need luck. I think Ament (if in draft) and Peat will have fans in the draft, despite what the internet scout think. It just gets dicey. If not top 4, we really need to be top 8 to have a choice of one or two guys.


At least the thunder won’t get another pick as Utah moved. Now we need them to pick 7 as a punish for blatant tanking.

Poor Kings. What a mess. To go thru that season only to end it on a meaningless hot streak to finish the season.

Just find someone who knows talent and how to build a team expertly. I could care less if he is like Crumbs Krause or still lives with his mom.

Not really upset moving back to 48. That is a two way spot. Mavs found two undrafted guys last year. Opening an nba player and the other may be. I wouldn’t expect you get a guy who is a threat to make the roster next year. Not saying it is worthless but you can always move up pretty easily if you want.

Has anyone seen BAba miller? Was once a draft darling but never happened. He looked pretty good this year. His highlights look great. Brazille from Arkansas is also a swing on athleticism but not a smart player at the moment.

At this point I just hope they clean house. 

I think there is a a GREAT chance we look back at this season a few years down the road as a huge missed opportunity. The mismanaged tank job is one thing but they also built absolutely nothing of substance over these 82 games. It’s still exclusively Flagg and thats it. They barely played any young guys all season and didnt even make an effort to take looks at external younger players who actually might be here in a season or two. Just puzzling.

They essentially managed this team like a playoff contender except they didnt even sniff that level of play all year. 

I really would like to know how Riccardi / Finley / Kidd intend to turn this team around.

Assuming there actually existed a plan in the first place…
