Ad and gafford listed as questionable. Lively is doubtful. Klay is out with illness.

Maybe Klay is out with "trade talks."

Probably not. But maybe.

The timing is certainly a bit fishy.

He gets benched after a very poor performance. Begins going through the motions. A tweet comes out about how Klay is talking to fans about how he misses Luka. Then reports the FO is evaluating his trade value. Now he's out all of a sudden with a mysterious illness.

I got a feeling the Mavs will give a huge effort tonight and get a big victory! Even bad teams win a few games every now and then.

Anthony Davis is out tonight for the fifth straight game, Mavericks coach Jason Kidd just announced.

This is a revenge game since they already lost to the Wizards at home.

Not having Klay in the rotation will lead to a Mavs win. But… is that what we’re even rooting for now?

The cap/apron impact is so limiting on teams, that I have no idea what a Klay trade would even look like during the season. I don't think you can find a 1-for-1 that makes sense. Then again, I wouldn't trust Nico to find a beneficial deal anyhow. (IOW, if they want to fix the roster, firing Nico is step 1.)

Lolz...I saw the Wizards' record was 1-8, but had totally forgotten that the ONE win was against the Mavs.

Better hope the Wizards win. It should be in their best interest to try their best. If they win it might accelerate the firing of Nico, which should result in a better team environment. That means better Mavs performances in the long run and a better record than the Wizards. So winning actually means more ping-pong balls for the Wizards in the long-run. Go Wi-zards.

I'm shocked Anthony Davis is out.

If the Mavs are truly tanking, this is a game they will have to opt for weird lineup combos and odd play calls and extra injuries and other tricks in finding a way to get a loss. WAS at 1-8 is one of the few teams that may be worse than DAL and who has a better draft position so far.

I see the Mavs are positioned where their best center in uni may end up being DP. That would be a start if they need an L here.

I think Martin is good for 48 minutes tonight.

Let's hope to see some heavy Kelly minutes in Klay's absense.

Klay hasn't been very good so far this season...but he is not the reason the  Mavs are 2-7.

I'm sure Klay misses Luka...and Kyrie.  He joined the Mavs to play with them.  But stuff doesn't work out sometimes...and Klay hasn't been very good this season.

Someone Chuck Cooperstein was interviewing said the previous home game was the first one he had seen in years that wasn't sold out and it was something to pay attention to.

Sure...as if Klay has been the reason the Mavs are 2-7 so far this season.  Klay hasn't played well...but you can't blame the crappy start entirely on Klay.
